  1. If any of ya'll are in the 17th district, currently Mae Beaver's district, I'd encourage you to find out more about Susan Lynn who will be running for the seat Mae is vacating. Lynn introduced and subsequently passed the sovereignty resolution in the house and was involved with the TN firearms bill. She is now pushing for more and will do so when elected to the TN senate. Here's a link to her blog where you can read about the pledge she has just signed and is encouraging others to sign. Every constitution loving Tennessean should be proud to have a state senate candidate willing to agree with such a pledge. pledge The sovereignty movement is the only way we are ever going to be able to get out from under the burdensome federal govt.
  2. guess he's figuring he needs an "anti coup" squad that will take orders directly from him. Probably figures when push comes to shove, the military won't be on his side or worse. He certainly is setting it up with his comments/position on Honduras. His Honduras position could translate into his actions in the US, and I can see him saying....... " I was duly elected by the people of the United States of America. They voted for me not the constitution. You can't throw me out no matter what."
  3. The public library has copies including audio versions. There is also an abridged audio book, only 10 hours instead of nearly 40. I've got the audio one on reserve at the Nash. library, they called today and said something was ready for pickup, hope that's it. I listened to the short one several years ago, but figure I better bone up so I can see the future. Wouldn't want to miss any thing. May need to start my own "Reardon Metals" business, blue guns would look neat!
  4. There's a republican running this time, Evans I think. Seems like a nice enough guy, retired military. Not sure he's really up to what needs to be done, or if he can make enough waves to have a shot. If we just had a good strong conservative that could get in BG's face I think he would win this go-round. It's time to pull out all the stops. No playing nice anymore. They need to be pruned real close.
  5. here, here put that boy on the ropes!! SOB, why in the hell can't we vote that sob out????
  6. I've been carrying a P11 for years. It's the best. I use and like the belt clip though I have it mounted on the opposite side as I like carrying the gun on the strong side with the butt forward. Maybe kind of odd, but with a little practice it works out great for me. The clip is pretty tight so I haven't been uncomfortable with it coming loose. I did do a fluff and buff on it way back when it was new, not sure if that is recommended now or not. I have the org. plastic guide rod and have had no trouble. I put a hogue handall on mine and like it way it helps cut down on the sharp molded checkering. You might go here, this forum is dedicated to all things Kel-tec.
  7. we've got proof in Lebanon Creature of Sugar Flat Rd. - Lebanon, TN on Flickr - Photo Sharing!
  8. I just bought some of these on woot.com for $20 on a lark. Thought I might use them for xmas gifts. Got them a couple of days ago and I'm impressed. Bright and sound feeling. They have a red led, blue, and IR leds, plus a regular "white" light. I don't think they are worth $60, but for the $20 I paid w/ lithium batteries it seems a pretty good deal. The switch for the IR led is pretty slick. Energizer Hard Case Military Tactical Light
  9. just curious, why do you have your eye on one of those specifically?
  10. just picked up a flyer for a show at the Ward Ag. center in Lebanon. Scheduled for Sept 12-13. Don't think I remember there ever being one there before. $7 admission, $1 off here. Smokey Mtn. Shows Know nothing about the promoter or type/quality of shows they do, just passing along the info.
  11. Ted is gone
  12. got both, carried both 66 shoots and feels better-- it's a REAL gun, has a trigger smooth as butter 19 feels like plastic, has a plastic feeling trigger-- reminds me of my Johnny Quest .45 auto I had when I was 6 that used greenie stickum' caps Preference to carry day in day out. The 19. The cheap plastic feel is just better for everyday duty-- lighter weight, hi-cap, and if it gets scratched up who cares? I'd care if it were my 66!
  13. bought some .224 from Widners, but probably just as cheap at reloaders bench.
  14. Mae is out, Susan needs to be in but it will be tough. Most of the 17th is big in dem. territory. McCall is challenging her in the primary hopefully she will pull through without being hurt.
  15. they are more fun to look at and study the history than to shoot. I've got one. It's neat and I've shot is some, but it's main attraction for me was it's uniqueness and it's history. I did take some night photos shooting real nagant ammo and the cyl. gap does seal up pretty well.
  16. summer Kel-tec p32 in a homemade back pocket holster (serial less than 200 ) rest of the year Kel-tec P11 9mm with reversed belt clip
