The biggest problem is that there is likely not going to be anything interesting for democrats to vote on during the primary so they will all switch over and put Lalooser over the top after we split our vote among the other candidates. I've been polled twice over the past two weeks on this race. I don't think they can take into consideration this switch over voting. .... you could call this the Haslam effect.

I used to think true morons were rare, but the more I watch politics the more it seems they are not as rare as I once thought. -

a Paul/Cruz ticket would be a hammer. -
I just bought a Primary Arms red dot for my AK. Haven't installed it yet but it's supposed to be a co-witness using the Ultimak mount. I really think it will work well. I've had an occasional issue with getting the front post and the guard mixed up. I guess that's called old fart syndrome, but this should take care of it. Plus, I think it would pretty much make the gun a pick up and deliver accurate fire down range by anyone regardless of their experience. Primary Arms gets good reviews and this one is the latest improved model.

Syria - Extremely disgusting...graphic.
seez52 replied to Caster's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I saw this video a couple of weeks ago. It's disgusting and why would we even consider getting involved. At some point we've got to stop thinking we've got to police the world. Not everyone thinks like we do and we shouldn't try and make them. The more we mettle around over there the less we're thought of-- haven't we figured that out yet! -
all those old Mossbergs are tack drivers. I've got three of various descriptions and they are great to shoot and will out perform most anything. You're going to enjoy it.

Anyone have experience with geothermal heating/cooling?
seez52 replied to Hershmeister's topic in General Chat
I researched it heavily before building 7 or so years ago. Cost of the wells sort of kept it from a good payback compared to a high efficiency dual fuel heat pump. Mid Tn electric will help you work out a cost analysis. They have people that's all they do. I can't recommend enough, only choose an HVAC contractor who will do an actual heat load on your home.Choosing tonnage based on square footage is the sure way to spend more initially and every month thereafter. I purchased a one time use software package so I could do my own calculations. I had contractors propose 5 all the way to 11 tons of cooling. Calculations said 5 was enough and that's what we did. Haven't been sorry yet. Make sure they provide you a copy of the heat load calculations. -
Thanks, good to know. Some said you couldn't watch youtube on Roku and some said there was a workaround to enable it. Have you tried that?

Well, I guess the stars must have aligned. I pulled the trigger and bought a Roku. They were running a special price $50 incl. shipping for the Roku2 XS model. I know it's a discontinued one, but it does have an Ethernet port, and I don't always get a real good signal from my wifi where this is going to go. None of the newer models offer a hard wire connection except the $100 one. The other thing that aligned was Hulu plus was offering a 2 month free trial instead of their one week. I think I'd like Netflix better, but free for two months should give me an idea if I'm going to like streaming to start with, and I figure $50 for a box isn't too bad. Heck I spent more on cheap Chinese junk at Harbor Freight and had it break on first use. So, I guess I'll soon be streaking, I mean streaming. Thanks to everyone who chimed in with advice and suggestions.

some of the Roku 3 reviews on Amazon complain after a month or so the hdmi on the unit goes out and after that good luck getting any customer service. Those here with a Roku.. which model do you have and have you had trouble with it? How long have you had it.

So if I buy an $8 sub to netflix is all their content included or is it more for certain things? I really don't want to spend more than about 10 bucks a month for this sort of thing. I'm just cheap that way. I'd really be satisfied with access to old movies, TV shows if that could be had for free. I did have amazon prime at one point for the free 2 day shipping, and might convince myself to sign back up for that with the streaming as a bonus. Seems like there was still some added costs per view on most of their titles as I remember.

I've been thinking about getting something like this and wanted to know some good opinions. I've read a number of reviews but seems like some really like certain models and others a real problem with them. I'm currently just getting OTA with the local channels in Middle TN. Don't want to pay for cable or dish and thought this might be worth a shot. So, anyone with experience would be helpful. How much of the free content is really any good? And how much and what subscription services allow fairly new run movies and TV series? Thanks for the advice in advance.

AK-47 build....ready to hand it off.

Take a quick look and make sure the trunion rivets aren't getting in the way. Seems like I remember having to do a little dremel work on one where part of the rivet was left proud. ... you may already be in too far for that to make a difference. -

I also put some anti seize compound on the bbl before it goes to the freezer. Push it 1/4 inch or less in then check your sight alignment. Adjust if necessary then finish it up. -
http://courantblogs.com/dan-haar/state-police-to-gunmakers-no-more-advice-on-designs/ With morons for politicians can anything else be expected? The best comment to the article was a quote from Atlas Shrugged.... “Did you really think that we want those laws to be observed?†said Dr. Ferris. “We want them broken. You’d better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts you’re up against – then you’ll know that this is not the age for beautiful gestures. We’re after power and we mean it. You fellows were pikers, but we know the real trick, and you’d better get wise to it. There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers - and then you cash in on guilt. Now, that’s the system, Mr. Rearden, that’s the game, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with.†—Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged

I worked for a colt distributor back when colt was selling the second generation bp guns. Other than the walkers and dragoons we couldn't sell them. Nobody wanted one. They were all very nicely finished and looked very good. The pocket models were especially nice. Kinda pricey for the time we had them stacked pretty deep on the shelves.
