  1. I've got a 1990 Toyota that I bought new. It's got 225K miles and I don't think I've spent more than $1500 on it the entire time I've owned it, other than for normal wear items. Kinda the reason I'm looking at a Tundra rather than a Ford or Chevy.
  2. What kind of gas mileage are you getting with the 5.7?
  3. I like your truck, I want it!!   I'm thinking about a Tundra also. Basically the same thing you have. What year model is it and which engine, miles? Do you still like it, has anything unexpected turned up? And the big question, not to be nosy, but can you share a ball park price for such a fine machine?    I've been looking. Had hoped to stay in the $16K range or less, but doesn't look like that will be possible on a '07 or '08
  4. That's what I'm leaning toward. I think I'm going to load up another batch and make sure it groups as it did yesterday before cranking out a boat load. Just for fun I ran a couple of varmint loads I developed a year or so ago to see how fast they were. The velocity was lower than I expected, but they have been great for taking yotes.
  5. Working up a load with some WC844 currently I'm at 25gr. At about 2750fps. Really nice grouping better than any of the other loads I've tried. Got about another 100 fps at 26 but didn't seem to group as well. The 25gr load made right at 3000 fps out of my 20" upper. The 25 functions well. 26 may be .5 gr from max though no overpressure signs on any of the 26gr loads. So should I call it a day and settle for 2750fps with a good group? Fired some 62 gr factory reloads out the 16" and they clocked 2850+.
  6. In my case I wanted to put back some radios for personal 2-way communication. Ones that would not be dependent on any kind of network. A small ham radio might be nice as well.
  7. I'm not jumping on the crazy train here, but I do have some things I want to keep in storage in general such as the things I mentioned. Just thought if I could also cover the emp angle with what I have it would be good. I really think it's more likely some other circumstance would come to pass, but if I can do a little tweaking to what I already have, so much the better. I'll check and see how connected the doors are to the rest of the cabinet. I've actually got two of these cabinets  and didn't really know what to do with them as I've just replaced them with some plastic Rubbermaid ones that are larger. I hate throwing away perfectly good storage. Just thinking this might be a good use for them.
  8. I just finished reading One Second After so I'm thinking I might see if I can figure out a Faraday cage. I know a metal box, or wire box is basically what it is. I've already got an old all metal cabinet with double front doors. Was wondering if this might suffice? It was probably made in the 50s-60s, not made of heavy sheet metal but it seems to be solid all around. Wondering if the door cracks might be a problem?   Then what should I keep in it? Was thinking a couple of FRS radios, am/fm radio, led flashlights, spare batteries?
  9. Can't imagine it. They'd need more than two men and a truck for sure.
  10. When is season. 4 going to be released on Netflix. Having withdrawals here
  11. Was there 30 odd years ago and had the same problem. Can't believe the place is still there.
  12. Do you know if the crew cab Toyotas any larger in the back seat? I like the idea of a 4 door, but if it's little larger than a jump seat it's not worth having.
  13. Does it have the split or solid lug. Seems like that was one of the issues on the early barrels.
  14. What does the back seat room compare with in the car world? And what's the towing capacity? I'm gonna have to get something before long.
  15. My wife has been watching Toddlers in Tiaras and the gay miss america padgents. My God can TV get any lower. She made me watch part of the gay miss. I couldn't believe it was held in Memphis. Quite a show.
  16. Got one almost a year ago, its great. You'll need Netflix or some other service to really watch anything. Wish it natively connected to YouTube but you can ways Plex what you want to see. I only have 3meg internet so I have mine set for SD quality, but it looks fine to me. If you search around you can find trials of various services. I used a 2 month trial for huluplus then decided netflix work better for me.

Does the red dot tip to the side so it will fold?
  19. the destruction requirement is on most things they sell. Even the big sheet and block lead. A few months ago they had some lead encased in stainless steel. The looked pretty neat. That would have been a pain to demil.
  20. Actually on mine it's the whole thing that missing. He shot off the complete end. All that's left is a bare wire. I would agree on the Oehler stuff. The one I have is a old Model 12, the second model they came out with. And while it works, it's sort of an antiquated operation. It does not read out the fps directly, but you have to translate it through a cross reference after turning a knob and reading a meter. It's kind of impressive that it works considering what most people are used to today. I like it, but spending $70+ on sky screens for something this obsolete seems pointless when you can get a newfangled one for just a little more. The 33s and 35p were much nicer units and certainly if I had one of those replacing the screens would be a no brainer. Here's a photo of what I have.
  21. http://www.govliquidation.com/auction/view?id=7320957&tid=GLSPPT2590&cm_mmc=Email-_-ia9380%2Cia9383-_-2014-03-24-_-9380_5400&utm_campaign=gl%20-%20ia9380%20_%20ia9383.html&utm_medium=email&utm_source=Eloqua   Ok, who's in, we can split it.
  22. I did talk with them about a year ago when the shooting incident happened. Unfortunately they don't still make the sky screen II replacements so I would need to purchase two of their sky screen IIIs. And that unfortunately is way more expensive than just buying a whole new modern outfit. I still have hopes of finding a used replacement somewhere.   Thanks for the link, I did think they were out of business as none of the links I had worked.
  23. I've got an old model 12 chronograph that worked fine until someone blasted one of the sky screens. Oehler is now out of business. Anyone know where I might come up with a replacement?
  24. Could probably have it at the Natl guard armory and it would be an upgrade.
