  1. they generally rate poorly. occasionally you'll find something decent walking around, but unless you're close by ...
  2. ordered mine on the 23rd. note i got back when inquiring said they didn't know when it would ship, but they would let me know beforehand. kinda stinks, glad i wasn't in a hurry. all my other parts are already in.
  3. I ordered a pistol upper during their black friday sale, actually before black friday and it has not shipped yet. Sent them a note on Tuesday and the response was that they didn't know when it would ship. What the....   Anybody else order from them and have issues? I had not ordered before, at this point can't say I'm a fan.
  4. welcome neighbor! you're gonna love middle tn
  5. no it's one of the all in one units, ProChrono digital I believe. Works good. Was a lot easier to use than my old Model 12. Although you do look like some mad scientist using it. The model 12 looked like it came out of the 60s with a big black knob and yes/no indicator meter.
  6. i ended up just buying a whole new unit. cant remember now which one but its easier to use and set up. funny thing happened on my first time out with it. was checking some rounds through an AK everything working great then i pulled the trigger and got a double. second round hit the metal wire that holds the diffuser dead center. bent the crap out of it and pissed me off but still works fine. did a little more work on the fcg and got the doubling issue resolved for good.
  7. couldn't believe this made the local news last night, must have been a really slow news day .
  8. did any body order uppers from dsg on their  BF deal?  I ordered a pistol upper and it's still showing processing. Really would have thought it would have shipped by now.
  9. we have trouble getting 4 also. you might try adding a booster. i have a channel master and ir really helps. you could also try turning your antenna mine is fairly sensitive to being pointed in the right direction
  10. Walmart in Lebanon had some Thunderbolt yesterday under the counter. You have to ask. $2.29 a box I believe he said. Didn't get any. Asked if they had any CCI mini mags-- no.
  11. are safes considered a fariday cage during an emp type event?
  12. Our last turkey shoot of the year is on schedule for Saturday at the Wilson county fairgrounds. We had a great time last month with lots of excited winners including these two youngsters. If you haven't taken you son, or daughter to a good old fashioned turkey shoot don't miss out. There's not a bigger grin to be had. 8am-2pm at the Wilson county fairgrounds, $5 rounds with country hams, thick sliced bacon and frozen turkeys. Should be a nice day so come on out.
  13. I have a 19 6" I bought in about 1976. It was the first hand gun I ever purchased. It is by far the sweetest revolver out there. Ive shot a ton of ammo through it and cant ever imagine selling it. You'll love it. The action can be slicked up like butter if it isnt already.
  14. dont know yet, its still underwraps until Christmas. by the numbers its only a couple ounces heavier than some of the name brands. i'll post a range report once its functional.
  15. While we're walking down memory lane my favorite times of the year around here was the two times per year the Tennessee Gun Collectors association put on their show at the fairgrounds. If you were a member you got in for free and just a couple bucks if you were not. There were lots of private tables, and dealer tables. And you'd better not bring any knives to display or you'd be told to pick them up. It was a gun show only, militarila was ok. no jerky, gutters or any thing else. There often were two completely full buildings with good crowds both days. And if you were an exhibitor there was always the Saturday after show open bar. Of course there were no black guns, no plastic guns, no tactical gear and there for a while if you were a dealer you couldn't transfer a gun at the show they had to come to your shop for pickup. It did take all day to peruse the selection.
  16. thanks for taking the bullet for us all...   I had hoped with the demise of other shows this one might gain some legs.
  17. The brake came in today. It's a hefty item at 10.2 oz. Seems well made and easily disassembled. No indication of country of origin. Uses a circular wire around the front to keep the end screwed on. Lift it up and unscrew it to dissemble and clean the inside. I've never had one of these type brakes before so not sure what to look for. The small end of the cone has a .40 ID which seems large for a 5.56 rifle. Has set screws to lock the adapter onto the gun and then lock the brake onto the adapter. Not sure if thats SOP for these or not. Will be first of the year before I can actually shoot with it installed. $25 seems like a good price.
  18. crickets..... guess I didn't miss anything by not going
  19. this is going to be a "Christmas present" so it may be a little while before it sees any action. The only concern I have is how much is weighs. Some of that Chinese stuff is heavy.
  20. huskqvarna for sure
  21. Well, the reviewers said it had an internal cone so I went ahead and ordered one. I figured for the price its worth shot. We'll see when it gets here.
  22. was pretty weak last time i went, but there's plenty of free parking!
  23. ordered one this morning without the extra ads.
