  1. I think these "peace" loving Muslims are just naive. They haven't figured out yet that they too are on the hit list just a little higher up on the totem pole. Once the general infidels are dispensed with they are next up for irridacation. In the end all that will remain will be the radicals and then they won't be radicals, they will be the norm.
  2. I had a can of extruded that turned brown. I threw it out. Others I've had have worked just fine
  3. Currently I've just got white dot sights. The front is a good bit larger than the rears, but when viewed from the shooting position they are all pretty much the same size. How does that work out with tritium vials? I've got night sights on a Glock but offhand can't remember how it lays out in that regard.
  4.     That's what I've been weighing. Haven't decided which way to go.
  5. Just thinking back on this did the final test ever get done? I'm still wanting to do this to a couple pistols and you guys had done some pretty good analysis.
  6. I've fired doctors before and will likely do it again. You need a new one.
  7. hum.... I'm thinking I'd rather have the mini 14.
  8. what is the other rifle that many were carrying? it was a bullpup with high sight rail
  9. some i bought once had mis-located crimp grooves
  10. it does have the happy switch on the back of the receiver right side.
  11. The only thing I've ever plugged up when parking is a shotgun bore. Just so it would still be shinny when finished.  Might also a non chrome lined rifle or pistol bore. Your cleaning prep is the most critical for a good job.
  12. i've got a piggyback 1 that i've had for years, bought new. I've loaded thousands of rounds on it. Mostly pistol cals. but also .223. Its always worked great. I am considering selling mine as i've up graded to a RCBS pro 2000. Would have still been using the piggyback but it won't do .308   I really dont think you can beat them for the price.
  13. wife saw a fox last night as she came up our drive. was real bushy
  14. some while back i was thinking someone was making flats and there was a bending jig available. kits then came with barrels.
  15. It's around $400 here, a little less if you order multiple loads. The price is crazy. I understand the issues, but $400 for a load of rocks, ouch. In 2004 I could get a load for $250. The price is the main reason my driveway looks like crap these days, just can't bring myself to pay that. Have even considered buying a cheap dump truck, just a single axle and hauling it myself.
  16. I had and still have an M14 that included a detachable magazine with plastic bullets. The bullets would shoot off, each cartridge had a spring inside. Also had a .45 that I still have. No orange tips on any of these.
  17. I have a hard time keeping my pants up with half that much stuff.
  18. I've always wanted a Mauser pistol
  19. Hard to beat

    Elmer Keith

Ive always wanted to read this book but even used copies are pricey. Thanks for the link. I downloaded it as an epub.
  21. Many many moons ago I worked in the sporting goods dept at Kmart. One night a really short guy came in, nicely dressed wearing a fairly large cowboy hat. He strolled up to the counter and asked if we had any 45 ACP ammo. My first thought was that's a lot of gun for such a small fellow, then it hit me that he was Little Jimmy Dickens. Seemed like a nice guy. RIP.
  22. Anybody ever do this? Or know anybody that has won?
  23. I guess it would have been the new. Had Donald Sutherland and the guy from Lone Survivor. Loaded 3 Minis with gold... a bit on the hokey side but it was entertaining.   If we didn't rattle the windows it was considered a failure.
  24. watched a move, the italian job with my son which was pretty good and the last episode of the walking dead from season 4.  didn't even crack any spirits. in my youth new years eve was a time of creating the biggest, loudest noise possible at the stroke of midnight. so much for youthful exuberance.
  25. I believe this could be a great bump fire device. Might look like one of the three stooges
