  1. I remember when Miami Vice was on we sold a boat load of Galco shoulder holsters.
  2. I bought some plates off ebay with free shipping. They were 8" 3/8" AR500. I think they were right at $100 for 6. They also had various other sizes and shapes and usually the shipping was either free or pretty cheap. They use the flat rate boxes. Don't recall their name, but they were in TX.
  3. I would guess that if you haven't already mailed your order in, you won't get one. They are limiting to one per customer. Seems like when I ordered mine several years ago they were $495 plus shipping.
  4. It's a shame DiCaprio  is such a turd in real life.
  5. just about to get it ready for a first run through. I've used mostly scrap, other than the plates and few misc. pieces. I had hoped to finish it this weekend, still need one piece of angle iron. Anxious to see how it works. Still need to mount a couple of the plates and determine how it's going to be mounted.
  6. someone needs to tell that ape that bananas are the leading cause of methane, a dangerous green house gas.
  7. a filthy ape
  8. Just got a good deal on 8lbs of this powder, but have never used any of it before. According to the data it can be loaded in most all calibers. Anybody have experience with it? For general plinking loads I've always relied on Unique. A little dirty but it will run most anything you want to load.
  9. I'm wondering, if the victim in this case has submitted to the perpetrator, basically giving him what he wants/asks for and is seemingly out of immediate danger and having the opportunity to withdraw from the confrontation as he does, couldn't he be viewed as the aggressor when he chooses to reengage?
  10. Merry Christmas
  11. its amazing how completely metal guns shoot when you've been shooting plastic. brings more fun to shooting.
  12. ran some through my FAL and I was quite pleased with sub MOA groups. Not sure yet if I can handload any with better reaults
  13. It's the festering lack of hope that eventually boils over. Lack of hope on a variety of fronts from doctored elections whether it be through direct tinkering or indirect with the huge political PACS that subvert the system to the detriment of the people. From the seemingly unimpeded influx of outsiders into our country by those who care little about the American way of life but instead prefer to bring their culture here and gripe about all things American and yell bigotry to anyone who challenges them. To the ever increasing trampling of our God given rights enshrined and protected by the constitution yet condemned by those who have been elected to represent and uphold it. Those are the things that fester.   The "radical republicans" of the 1860s brought about the conflict to oppose the disgruntled segment of the country that saw no hope going forward. The south took the only peaceful option before them, withdraw from the union.   One of the big differences today is that we have become far removed from what this country was founded on. 150 years ago their grandfathers had fought King George, and they heard first person accounts and knew the price paid by their ancestors and were not willing to give in when an overbearing government stepped in. Where are we today in opposing another overbearing government? Have we moved beyond remembering or caring? This does not happen overnight, but I believe it is festering and unless there is something to begin to let off some of the steam there will be backlash. Certainly for a number of us dirty tricks behind the scenes to put a rino at the top of the ticket would not let off any steam.
  14. If you are a student of history many of the elements that lead up to the civil war have been coming into place over the past several years, just as they did in the 10-15 years leading up to 1861. One thing in particular that makes me think is the potential republican establishment tinkering with the election process as they seek to eliminate Trump and Cruz. Here in TN A. Lincoln wasn't even on the ballot in 1860, so imagine finding out later someone has become president that wasn't even on the ballot? It was the same in many other southern states. So what if you have a lot of people who like and vote for Trump and or Cruz during the primary only to have the republican establishment via hi jinks at the convention, see to it that some rino like Rubio or Bush ends up being the nominee? Not too much different than what happened some 150 years ago. Combine all the other crap that we've endured over the past 7 years, dissing of the constitution etc. and there is liable to be some pretty upset folks.   Have those folks got the backbone to stand up and fight back?
  15. You could get a M10 for $100. I didn't do it because I couldn't justify paying more in tax than the gun was worth. Thompsons in the FBI case for $2500. Those were the days.
  16. you can made a tool to locate the trunion holes pretty easily.
  17. Liquor, you can't beat liquor. You can always drink it. And if you buy the stuff with a high alcohol content it has other uses as well.
  18.   That's exactly what I was thinking. They already have a basic system in place with Sudafed, just swap out bullets and it would work, at least in their minds.   This guy was using remote controlled cars as part of his IED plan. What keeps them from buying a flying drone and using air delivery? Some not too expensive ones are available now that would carry enough explosives to make a pretty good mess.
  19. The most creditable info I've found on NBF including the klan issue and Ft. Pillow incident was researched by Dr. Michael Bradley. He writes well and goes through many of the biographies about NBF dispelling the things many of the writers simply accept as fact. To get at the true history requires first person accounts which most of the biographers don't do the leg work get at. Dr. Bradley seems to have done the proper due diligence, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't off the internet  ;)
  20. seems a lot of officials and media are putting extra emphasis on the "huge amount of ammo" the jihadists had in their possession. I'm thinking some purchase limit EO might be in the offing
  21.   I'd be interested in knowing your source for his involvement in the klan. The last account I had of it is there has never been any evidence other than one man's account some 30 years after the fact. I believe his name was Morton and he had ridden with NBF during the war. His account has always been suspect due to a conflict of interest, but can't recall offhand the details. He seems to be much misaligned on many fronts.
  22. I believe the mayor was kicked out of office at the last election along with some of the loudmouth council members. Their replacements have discovered the city ain't got no money for dumbass lawsuits and are looking for ways to have the whole issue quietly fade away.    I'm ashamed to even admit the former mayor was from Lebanon. His ancestors are rolling in their graves.
  23. I've got a couple of the Primary Arms models you mentioned and they have worked great. They generally get good reviews. They have a new version out that's $169 and supposed to have 50,000 hour battery life. I'd like to try one of those but don't know if it would be worth double the price of their tried and true red dot.
  24. I'm pretty well committed to 9mm so it won't be a .40. I haven't shot either a shield or pps. I do have a Keltec PF9 and a P11 that I've always liked, but it's no fun for shooting, way too much recoil, and probably not all that accurate,  acceptable out to 25 yards.
  25. Opinions here of a Walther PPS? Thinking about one for carry. Are they supported with a selection of holsters? Didn't I read somewhere that Smith is not going to be be distributing anymore?   I have a P22 which is a fun one to shoot and feels good in your hand but it's been a little finicky on ammo. Hickock45 seemed to like the PPS.
