  1. Wow some people are so immature, how old are these people, 10? I hope you get the situation resolved, but keep some protection around just in case, as im sure your dad does. People are nuts
  2. Of course!
  3. oh yeah lol
  4. ^agreed wd-40, you guys got some nice things. Imo family time beats material things all the time, but my wife wasnt gonna have me not having a gift on fathers day. So i asked for the falling skies season 1 set. T-minus 2 hrs 10 mns to season 2 premiere! Also happy fathers day to all the proud dads out there
  5. This thread is absolutely the most pointless thread ive seen in a long time.
  6. Im starting this thread a day early because my wife and daughter gave me my gift last night, the reason being is so I can catch up on the episodes I havent seen before season 2 premiere tomorrow night!
  7. Oops meant 4th gen with the v8, not 3rd
  8. The 2nd gens (90-95) had major head gasket issues on the 3.0. If u r in the market for a 96 up, then your v6 option is the 3.4. Which is a great engine, no problems that i know of. The second gens with the 3.0 are generally the most looked down upon, but i love mine and havent had any problems out of it. If i was gonna buy another one though id look for the 3rd gen with the v8 option. Iirc they only had the v8 option for a few years.
  9. I love my 4runner, itd take alot to get me to part with it
  10. Whats the name of the book?
  11. ^looks good! Mine shipped today, looking forward to getting it
  12. Yeah same here. I have high hopes for it. For 52 bucks, cant beat that with a stick DSA has a upper assembly right now for 240 bucks. Its a 16" standard carbine upper. That does not include the BCG or charging handle. So far this is the cheapest upper I have found. I have shot a complete DSA ar before and I have complete trust in their stuff. Its american made too, on top of being so affordable. Its probably gonna be what I go with for my ultimate budget ar build.
  13. Just ordered one from JoeBob Outfitters for 45 bucks. 52 with shipping. Did some research and everybbody seems to like them pretty well. So I figured I would try one out. If I dont like it I havent lost much. Looking forward to getting in it and checking it out. After I ordered it, I got to thinking about how I wanted to build this rifle. I decided I am gonna build the ultimate budget ar. Its always asked on this forum how cheap an ar can be had for, well Im gonna find out. Right now for the upper im thinking DSA. A complete DSA upper (minus BCG and charging handle) can usually be had for less than 300 bucks. Anybody know of one cheaper let me know. And on top of that, after it gets built Im gonna put it through its paces right off the bat, to find out how reliable the ultimate cheap ar will be. Stay tuned as I will update this thread with pics and progress of the build.
  14. I enjoy both nutnfancy and hickok45's videos. Im subscribed to both. Granted the "dude" content in each of nutn's videos gets pretty annoying at times. I still watch though because his review of gear is based on longgg term testing. For instance he just reviewed a dpms lr 308 that he has been using in the nutnfancy project for about five years.
  15. I personally love all of the resident evil movies. they have gotten a lot of mixed reviews. I am a huge fan of the resident evil series from the video games, even though the movies arent like the games. I think the films are for the die hard RE fans out there, like me. I generally find that if a person has never played any of the games or ever heard of the RE franchise before, they typically dont like the films. I have all on dvd and still watch them periodically to this day. Also liked I am Legend alot as well. Slightly off topic here, but a film I think everybody in this thread should watch is The Road. Its a awesome post-apocalyptic movie (no zombies, just post-apocalyptic survival) I read the book and watched the film and both were awesome, highly recommended.
  16. yep! picked em out all by myself too!! lol btw its not a snuggie its my wifes housecoat! these pics were taken in my back room/man cave/office. The bed never gets used back here, so it just ends up accumulating a bunch of junk over the weeks until it gets cleaned haha
  17. nice find!
  18. thanks! I agree with the needing wood furniture. I am gonna do a front end conversion on it as well. So when I order the stuff to do that, I will order some wood furniture for it too, if funds allow. I really like the timbersmith wood furniture for ak's.
  19. finished up my saiga conversion last night. it was easier than I expected. the only part I was worried about was drilling and tapping for the bullet guide. you only get one chance at it or you screw it up. got it done though. its feeding and ejecting just fine. now I have to wait about 2 weeks before I can fire it. here she is completed. can finally call it an ak now. BEFORE AFTER

    Falling Skies

I had never heard of this show, and now, thanks to this thread Im wasting more hours of my life away sitting in front of a tv!
  21. So I was gonna build another ar15 as my next project, but I have decided to spend the extra $ to build an ar10. It will be my first one, but im assuming they operate pretty much exactly like a 5.56 ar? are the lowers put together the same? Ive noticed how much more expensive it is to build one of these compared to a standard ar, so it will be a slow build. another thing Ive noticed is how DPMS has a strong foothold in the ar10 business. I type in a google search for ar10 lower receivers and its pretty much all dpms stuff. 1- why is that, 2- do any of you guys know where to find good ar10 stuff where there is more options than just dpms. Joebobs has nothing for them that i saw and Midwayusa just carries DPMS stuff. Thanks for any help and possibly getting me on the right foot
  22. I went today, it was a pretty good show. Typical gun show prices on everything, however I did find a dealer selling new pmags, standard NOT the windowed ones for 12 bucks each, so I picked up a couple of those. Also got a ak47 front sight tool.
  23. i love hot sauce. I have a bottle of one of the hottest ones around. Its called 357 Mad Dog. I order it from here. http://www.hotsaucew...7maddoghot.html This sauce is not a joke, one drop, and I mean one drop will almost ruin a bowl of chili. YouTube 357 Mad Dog hot sauce and it will give ou a good understanding of it. I rarely use it, I have to be in a wanting to hurt kinda mood. I also have a few ghost pepper hot sauces I use for everyday use. All the way down to the good ol Tabasco. On a side note, read the reviews of the sauce in the link above, they help put it into words as well.
  24. Im pretty sure that Paige is 18 now, she makes it a little easier to watch. But her mom is hideous imo.
  25. oh and another thing, on that same episode as the "mortar axe", Rich and his wife supposedly flew out to Nascar driver Regan Smiths home and sold him 7 guns (7 if i remember correctly) for $25,000. In this lot of seven guns was a Mossberg 30-30, a .22 rifle of some sort, a mossberg shotgun, and a .375 H&H mag. Im pretty sure those 4 of the 7 dont even make up $5,000. Unless a .375 H&H goes for alot more money than Im thinking it does. I dont really know what the other 3 guns were but they would have to be some collector grade Colts or something to make the lot of 7 go up to $25,000. sorry for the vent, it just irks me lol.
