GA ramping up efforts again to claim TN water
reed1285 replied to Lumber_Jack's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
it failed the first time, gonna fail again. I remember this from about 3 or 4 years ago. They just had to fall back to regroup lol -
makes me proud to be a Chattanoogan. As far as i know, Chuck Fleischmann has a pretty good record on being pro 2A. The NRA gives him a good grade i know.

i have a yugo sks, I like it alot and have never had an issue with it at all. Mine is 100% stock with open sights, so I cant speak on the tapco stock or the scope. Alot of people have that stock and ive never heard of any problems out of it, maybe someone with one on their sks can chime in here and voice there opinion on it. Enjoy it!

Fpsrussia in town?

If it was me, id keep the mini. They are harder to find than an ar, as is the ammo to feed an ar. I havent seen 223/5.56 on the shelf for a good little while now, whereas 7.62x39 is still popping up. And the ammo is cheaper too. Hopefully here in a few months supply will catch up with demand, or demand for ammo will fall because everybody is goin broke. A buck a round for pmc bronze 223? No thank you. Plus with that stock you just put on the ruger, its a gooddd lookin stick. So just buy some ammo to feed it, and hold out till this craziness slows down more, then buy u an ar. I remember last year a few ar's being listed in our classifieds for around $700 and it actually took a few weeks for them to sell

Well the 2nd ammendment stuff lasted all of 2 mns, he knows he is fighting a losing battle now i think in that area

The president "might mention an awb tonight"...,this is gonna be good

Im with oh shoot, the sport or psa. I have a full psa ar that i built last year and i love it. Not had a single issue out of it. The parts are good quality too. Ive never owned a sport but ive shot my buddies rifle before. I liked it and can see myself owning one in the next year or so, when prices go back down to normal When putting a price on built ar's, all that matters to me is round count and the quality of the parts used. I have a franken ar thats got a smorgasboard of different brands on it, but i bought good quality stuff to put in it and its a great gun. The cheapest thing on it is the lower itself, a new frontier polymer. I paid more for the lpk than i did for the lower lol, not counting transfer and background.

Either day should be fine for me -
Nice start to the collection spots, as you have found out, firearms tend to get lonely and definitely like to have a lot of friends around lol. Im really jealous of the mini 30

i agree, and in a shtf scenario, a solar charger would be worth its weight in gold imo. I need to get on it as well and pick one up
-
a little off topic, but speaking of solar chargers, have you had any experience with any of them? Ive been thinking of getting a small one like your talking about, but have no clue where to start, any suggestions? Also, good idea with the iphone. Kind of reminds me of "the book of eli" with denzel washington. he carried around his old ipod and a motorcycle battery to power it lol.

Yeah i gave 299 for mine a couple years ago, a very good investment on my part. I converted mine myself, its not too hard and it WELL worth it. Smith is a pretty hardcore ak guy and if im not mistaken does conversions for members on here, you might wanna check with him. I LOVE both my saiga's and if i had to for some reason sell some guns, they would be the last to go. Id sell all my hunting rifles and ar's first. The hardest part of the conversion is drilling and tapping for the bullet guide. But take your time with it and do some research. I used a youtube video series to help me with my conversion. There are tons of videos on how to do it. As others have said, if you can get one for $400 right now, jump on it ASAP. Hopefully itll still be there when you go back. If i was in my lgs and saw one unconverted on the shelf for that price, i wouldnt hesitate to buy it then and there. Good luck!

I have done several transfers through my ffl, so we know each other fairly well. Enough to the point that the last 3 or 4 that ive had sent to him, i order the firearm first, then give him a call to let him know ive got a gun headed his way. Usually he just says ill call you when it gets here, but if he hasnt dealt with the company i ordered from before i just give him the number to fax his ffl to. If you have never used a specific ffl holder before id definitely give them a call first, before ordering the gun. Then order the gun, contact seller to get a number for ffl to be faxed to and also to pay for the gun, then contact your ffl again to give them the number and that should be it. They will ship once the ffl copy is received.
