  1. You would have to rework the gas system if you did that, im pretty sure anything less than 14 inches or so the gas system needs to be moved back 2.25"
  2. Its the new stock kit Barrett started making for them, you dont have to disassemble your 10/22 or anything, the whole gun just drops in...

    Which one?

A rifle with open sights, preferably my ak :)
  4. Just do a belt fed conversion and be done with it lol http://www.beltfedar.com/belt_feed_conversions/ Its only about 3500 bucks more....
  5. bought time! ive been waiting for this one since the "preliminary" lol   im with you though, about finding a way to measure muzzle rise/ kick back on each brake without and kind of human error
  6. like i said it definitely looks like a spring issue. maybe just a faulty spring, i may have one laying around here from some of my conversions, if i do ill send it your way free of charge.
  7. im still shooting, i have a pretty good cushion on my ammo supply. ive been getting lucky these last few days on finding ammo online. Im actually gonna go burn through a few mags of 5.56, and 7.62x39 here soon. the only thing im not really finding is 9mm
  8. is the hammer axis pin staying in like it should? might need to pop that pin out and take the hammer out along with the spring to see what is going on. if you decide to do that take a pair of needle nose pliers and pull the hammer spring arms back behind the hammer and twist tie or zip tie them in place behind the hammer, that way when you know the pin out the hammer and spring assembly dont go flying across the room.   from your pic it looks like a faulty hammer spring to me, you might be able to take that hammer spring out and just put a slight outward bend in that arm to keep it pressed up against the trigger arm
  9. Niceeeee, do you have room for one more in your family? I dont eat much and my allowance can be paid in ammo :)
  10. welcome to tgo!
  11. WM off gunbarrel has 4 boxes of 100 round value packs of 45acp, and 2 boxes of 50 rnds of winchester white box 45acp, and a ton of 12ga stuff, still no value pack of 12ga tho
  12. wow thats insulting...i wouldve told him to go kick rocks right off the bat lol
  13. well after finding out my daddy in law already has a predator call that was a whole lot better than the one i bought, i took mine back today and used the money for a mojo critter and a haydel hand call. Wednesday morning is the day I plan on going, maybe ill get lucky
  14. thanks for all the info shaun, i guess your the resident coyote man haha. so the main call to stick to when calling in coyotes is a distress call right? like a jackrabbit distress? cottontail? sorry for the bombardment of questions i just wanna make sure I go out there halfway knowing what to do
  15. Yeah i just wish they werent so expensive (foxpro). Like i said i if im not happy with this one ill take it back and get a hand call or two. Anybody know anything about dillon calls? They are expensive for hand calls but looked to be of great quality
  16. Awesome, thanks for the advice. I saw the exact hayden call you were talking about today when i bought that electronic caller. I kept tge receipt, so im gonna give it a go and if im not happy with it ill take it back and invest in some hand callers. Is there a specific time of day i should focus on or do 'yotes come to a distress call pretty much any time of day? Thanks again
  17. so my father in law has lost 2 baby goats and a 3rd one was attacked a few days ago, but the coyote got scared off by my mother in law before it could kill the 3rd one. so needless to say we need to do some coyote hunting on his property. He works 12 hour days and works just about every weekend to, with an occasional sunday off, so he has recruited me to take care of the problem.    Ive never hunted coyote before, but i do deer hunt so Im not completely clueless to hunting. I started looking around for a decent coyote specific entry level caller. I ended up getting this   http://www.casscreek.com/store/p/359-Mega-Amp-Coyote-Call.aspx   the reviews are good for it, so i decided to give it a go. I didnt want to spend 200+ on a foxpro or something of that sort right now just to kill a few coyotes. however if this call does work, and I bag a coyote or two and the predator hunting bug gets me, I will invest in a better call.   Any of you guys ever use cass creek stuff? input? again ive never been coyote hunting before, so any help you all can give me to better my odds of bagging one or two will be appreciated. i will be hunting out of a blind, overlooking a field and a hardwood line where all the coyotes my in laws have seen have been coming from. The goat attacks have been occurring in the late morning time from 9-11 or so. so i guess thats when ill be sitting in the blind. thanks for any input.
  18. Sbr = short barreled rifle Go fill out the nfa paperwork, pay 200 tax stamp, wait 6 months or so to get your stamp in the mail, then put a stock on that bad boy
  19. The question for me would be does mine run brass lol. All ive ever ran out of my converted saiga is steel cased ammo, mostly tula. Hundreds of rounds without a single hiccup
  20. ill agree its still a little high, but ill take what i can get right now. That price is a whole lot better than gunbroker or armslist prices right now
  21.   i got mine about 2 days ago. got to my ffl the day before i went and got it
  22. thanks for the heads up! got my order in
