Happy belated Birthday!

I think im the only one who didnt really get into AUD? I read up to January "diary entries" and i lost interest and quite reading. Im patiently waiting for the next installments of the "Surviving the Dead" series and "The Remaining" series. Maybe I just didnt read far enought into AUD to get hooked. Might try to read some more of it.

Are you just getting it back from recall work, or did you just purchase it? Either way congrats i likey
Ya know that is something we might need to look at doing this summer. Having a TGO cook out with families. We would have plenty of time to to plan one since I don't see winter leaving tomorrow. Only real issue I see is finding a gun friendly location out doors with enough room to hold one but surely we could find some place. Maybe someone has a farm that is a member here that would be centrally located so no one has to drive to far to get there!!!! Would be kinda nice to be able to put some faces with names............jmho
Id be for that. We all can contribute some fish and have a tgo fish fry! And Dave could bring me some of his smoked pork for "proper testing."

well, I just dropped off my receiver at ups to go to Orion Arms for engraving! One step closer. When it gets back I can finally build the lower, so thats good. I have to admit though, I was a bit nervous dropping it off at UPS. I mean if something happens to this receiver it not like I can just order another from CMT. Hopefully it'll be in good hands

I guess I have about 35 or 40 quart bags of Crappie filets out in my freezer. Deep fried Crappie, homemade hush puppies and home fries with onions does sound pretty good right now...................
That sounds awesome!

Im thinking it probably depends on what you use to polish it? Not really sure. I would GUESS not

ive got to go get me a new ultra light bream rig in the next month or two. something with flex comparable to a buggy whip lol. I love getting a good size bream on one of those rigs like that, feels like your pulling a channel cat up to the boat
I made TONS of these little things. I've lost 3 of them to friends thinking they were just trash and tossing them into a fire. I bought a big circle cutting bit that just knocks out that big divot in the bottom, saves time and cuts! I also polish the other divot because I heard you can start a fire with it if it's polished and sunny enough. I also found that some cans' divots are slightly larger than others.
Ive seen Les Stroud, on one of the episodes of survivorman, start a fire that way. He polished the bottom of the can with a piece of chocolate, then set it up in the sun to direct a beam of sunlight off of it onto a pile of tinder. I couldn't believe it worked.

Some of my favorite fishing is when the bream start bedding. Those things fry up good!
I love bass fishing Kentucky lake. Night time smallmouth fishing is unbeatable!! I went to the steam plant a couple days last week and loaded up on skipjack herring for my springtime catfishing. Right now, I can't get my mind off of crappy and will damn sure be going as soon as I replace my cranking battery in my bassboat. Dave
Mmm crappie. Best tasting fish out there if you ask me.

Happy Hump Day everyone, cheers.
There are some vehicle-less game modes available for those who can't hang. I prefer the Rush game mode though so there is no escaping my 120mm. Starting to work on choppers a bit but the scout is a heck of time to level considering you only get a fixed position gatling gun to start and it doesn't drop people quite as fast you need it to...basically have to come to a stop/hover to get a kill.
I loveee the scout heli, i like it better than the attack heli actually. I think im on like service star 12 with it. Use it enough to unlock the 25mm grenade launchers. They are 100x better than the miniguns, especially against infantry.
I shoot and reload 243 wssm. I have had no problems finding brass. And bullets are available by the drove. How much do you shoot during a years time? If you have 80 cases thats 4 boxes. I would be happy to let you reload them on my dies....takes about 2 hours after the cases have been cleaned... I havent done the math...but depending on what type of bullets you want....probably your cost including primers/and powder and bullets would be around 50-60.00 for realoading all 4 boxes. and you would enough powder and primers left to reload a couple more boxes when you have more brass available.... If you go with premium bullets the price will go up but only by 3-4.00 per box. I would not invest in reloading equipment unless you plan on reloading a bunch....doesnt equate the expense reloading a few boxes a year. Hope this helps. What model gun are you shooting? Mine is model 70 winchester and makes a fine coyote/deer rifle.
Same here, winchester model 70. Your right in the aspect that i dont shoot the gun nearly enough to justify buying a reloading setup. Its my hunting gun, so it only gets shot a few times a year if that.

Permit Renewal by Mail in 15 Days
reed1285 replied to mikegideon's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
How long before the expiration date do they mail the renewal application? I'm under six months from expiration now.
I think posting in this thread tipped them off for me, cause I just got my notification/renewal form in the mail a couple days ago, and mine expires in May. -
I guess im one of the few that are responsible with credit cards. I rarely use them, and when I do I always keep a low enough balance to where its paid off every month. Lets face it, CC's are a huge part of your credit score. Use them responsibly, it looks good on your report, use them irresponsibly, well you get the idea. Im in no way form or fashion shunning you for not using them, alot of people dont. I just personally see them as a good thing, a tool kinda, for your credit worthiness/history. (again if you can be responsible with them)
-
wow. people losing their lives over the silliest, most remedial crap these days. I cant believe the suspect, who had the great history he did, did this. All he wouldve had to done was find the manager, and that dad would still be with his family today. Something just snaps in people sometimes, and they go off the deep end
First off, how much is the NRA getting? Secondly, why not get a credit card that pays you first then you can send whatever you want to the NRA. Amex True Earnings or Bluecash are good. Also Chase has some pretty good ones as well. Just a thought
Im not just itching to get another cc, really my sole reason to get it would be to benefit the NRA when i use one. Im not sure how much they get when you purchase something...depends on purchase total i guess? I already have an amex i use for business expenses that i get rewards on, so not really looking for a good rewards card. Thanks for the advice.

So today I checked mail and got an NRA credit card offer. Looking over the paperwork it seems like a pretty good deal. It says on the letter "Every time you use your card to make purchases, a portion is given back to the NRA to help fund efforts such as protecting the Second Amendment, firearm education and training programs, at no cost to you." So, anybody else have the NRA card? Happy with it? Anything else I should know?

Im thinking since im sbr'ing my receiver set and obviously not looking for precision, ill be going with the geissele s3g trigger. Wish i could try one before i drop the dough but people seem to like them when used for their intended purpose.
