  1. Just FYI, but your Advanced Concealed Carry class has "AK Operator" in the title bar (top of the browser). <html> <head> <title>AK Operator Schedule</title>
  2. Springfield 1911-A1 Mil-spec in my vehicle right now. Not being able to carry at work sucks.
  3. Server is up on my home PC. Address: lemonhead.doesntexist.com p/w: johnmbrowning. It's barebones, no mods or special maps besides what came with GOTY edition. Server version is 436.
  4. Aww how cute. It'll start kicking soon!
  5. I have a UT server setup at work. I'm sure there's some way I could get it on the internet.
  6. Sounds like fun, been a while since I paid y'all a visit. I got a friend from work waiting for your XD 9mm subcompacts go come in.
  7. I just paid $78 for 200rds of XM193 locally on Saturday. Palmetto State Armory has Privi M193 for $359/k. There's also plenty of .223 to be had for $259/k. I don't know much about reloading, but when I looked for .277 caliber bullets I couldn't find anything cheap enough to make reloading worthwhile. I wanted a 6.8 for deer hunting, but after looking at ammo I've decided .223 will work just fine.
  8. 6.8 eh? Good luck feeding it. I haven't seen any ammo that I would call affordable for it. Any reloading components I've seen are high too. Get a Hero Gear AR-15 and be done with it!
  9. Don't worry, Glocks don't magically discharge like some people would have you believe. Keep your bugger hook off the trigger and you'll be safe. Make sure you get a good holster that covers the trigger guard completely. Also, none of my holsters have a retention strap.
  10. I'm pretty sure you can shoot someone in Texas to keep them from running away with your property. Try that in TN and you'll be going to a PMITA prison.
  11. If we're still short on attendees, we could probably get some interest by posting on ARFCOM in the hometown forums.
  12. Palmetto State Armory usually has pretty good prices on ammo and mags. You should check your barrel and make sure it's marked 5.56 before you try any M193 or M855 (mil-spec) ammo. Of course you can probably pick up ammo and mags at Hero Gear too, they're just a bit too far from Nashville for me. I did visit their shop, good people and lots of selection.
  13. Sounds interesting, and we have ample opportunity in Memphis to test this training.
  14. I like how my XDm 9 feels. Mild recoil and 19 rounds of 9mm, can't go wrong! I haven't bought a holster or any defensive ammo for it yet, though.

    advice needed

I'm 6' 250lbs. My 5" 1911 conceals just fine. It's easier to conceal than my Glock 23. The Glock would be great if it wasn't shaped like a brick. The rear of the slide has a tendency to print, a sharp square poking through my t-shirt.
  16. Nice! Where do you hunt coyote around here? I've heard them howling, never seen one in person.
  17. John Harris is lawyer and head of the Tennessee Firearms Association. His contact info is here: John I. Harris III - Nashville Attorney
  18. Sounds good to me. 2010 seems like plenty of time to stock up on ammo.
  19. The in downtown Nashville one sucks anyway. I didn't notice a sign on their door when I walked past it last week. I'd rather walk the extra distance to the Flying Saucer for wings anyway. Surprisingly they're not posted (yet...)
