I like my XD(m) 9. I have plans to install a Springer Precision trigger kit to really get it to my liking. I haven't had too much trouble acquiring 9mm Luger from Walmart recently, so IMO 9mm was the best option. I carry my G23 in .40 S&W most of the time, but I'm not sure I'll ever buy another weapon chambered in .40 S&W.

Me and a friend just carried it up two flights of stairs with a furniture dolly, damn thing is heavier than it looks. My ARs don't fit in there very well, I'll post pics later. I may have to buy the dowel rods with magnets on them to get it to my liking.

I just bought one last night with a %10 off coupon, $357.30+tax, so $390 out the door.

PS90's look cool with a short barrel, but they're relatively expensive to feed. I'd just get a good AR-15 and an Aimpoint optic.

Hero Gear was building their own Commander bobtail last I heard. Maybe see what kind of price Joe can get one to you for, I think they were around $1500-1700.

Definitely not too short, it's too long for my liking. The reset after the trigger is pulled is what I really don't like. I'm contemplating a Springer Precision trigger kit for it. I've pretty well decided to get the kit, not sure if I want to install it myself or not.

Sweet. I like mine, it needs a good trigger job though.

Speer Gold Dot 180gr is what I carry in mine. For range ammo I just use whatever FMJ I can get. Do not use Ultramax crap, it's a lead round nose bullet. You don't want to shoot the unjacketed lead bullets through your polygonal rifling.

I put one battery in each tube and stuffed a bore cleaning patch around it. They don't move but a quick buttstroke will get the battery loose. I could have just bought more batteries and put them in one tube but they're expensive! ETA: I tried it with 3 CR123a batteries and stuffed a cleaning patch in behind them and they don't rattle. The CR2 batteries I use for my Strikefire are a little shorter and I only bought 2.

Vortex Strikefire red dot, will run you about $150. They're about as good as it gets until you put out money for an Aimpoint.

Just took mine out today on the 15-22. I love the cheek weld and made use of the storage tubes by putting a couple of extra CR2 batteries for my red dot. I'm anxiously awaiting the version that fits a commercial stock so I can put one on my Bushmaster.

An AR upper won't fit on a 15-22 lower. The AR magazines don't fit either.

West Nashville Walmart on Charlotte has a huge pile of RWS 9mm FMJ, $17 for a box of 50. I didn't buy any but it's there if you're desperate.

All places that sell alcohol for off or on premises consumption have that sign. Look in your grocery store near the beer fridge and you'll probably find it. It doesn't apply to HCP holders.

Damn it, I like my 559's.

I had trouble with the Remington Golden Bullets. I gave them away and have been using Federal bulk pack ever since, which work fine.
