I hereby start this petition to replace the ":chill:" smilie with the ":up:" smilie on the "favorites" menu. I for one don't recall seeing the ":chill:" used recently, and think that the ":up:" would be of better use to the frequent residents of TGO. Please vote accordingly. Great post. Great photos. One can only imagine the story for each one. I'm truly moved by the bravery of the men who served during this time and now, who serve because they believe that they are fighting for what is right. During the course of mankind, we've seen so much more tyranny than freedom, that it has to appeal to everyone of us that we were doing the right thing. God bless these men and the freedom for which they fought. The freedom of life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness. Do what's right, live by common sense, and know when someone's trying to screw you out of it.

Well, specifically that the "tumbling" theory is not true.

I've been told otherwise.

My granddad's service pistol. My dad acquired this after my grandad passed and he's loaned it to me for cleaning. It's got some pitting on the slide and a bad rust spot on the safety lever. Still, I can't put into words the sentimental value it holds.

Nothing like a hot shower and a cold beer.
