  1. I've been looking for the same thing with no luck.

They made you guys shoot at 25 yards? When I took my carry permit course I don't think we shot past seven yards.
  3. Thanks guys. I've decided on the 550 so if I ever decide to load .308 in bulk I'll have that option. It'll be a while before I can get it, but I'll post my thoughts when I do.
  4. So put simply, the two cartridges use the same projectile, but it travels much faster out of a 9mm, making it more powerful.
  5. Talk to Mugster. I'm the one that got rid of the 7mm brass.
  6. Excellent, I'll keep an eye out for .45 long colt.
  7. But you know a deal on some 7mm brass when you see it. Now if only I can find someone that wants 30-06 . . .

    XD9 range report

Hmm, I had an XD-9 and never had any malfunction of any sort, except for the occasional stovepipe shooting Tennessee reloads. I'm curious about the cause of your problem.
  9. .500 S&W magnum with an 8 inch barrel. It was fun for about 5 shots, then I realized, what in the hell am I gonna shoot with it?

    TGO Meet 2008?

I'm not sure if I like the idea of a "Steal guns here" sign. Let us know when you find the source from your friend.
  11. I'm gonna go with .308. I'm an old 30-06 fan, but seeing as I never shoot a 220 grain bullet there's no real advantage to the 30-06, and I have all of the reloading gear for .308.
  12. With a .32 Tomcat and multiple badguys, I would do just what the guy did, given the circumstances. If I had my .45 on me then it might be different, but it's hard to say without being there.
  13. That's a really good point.
  14. Wilsons are fine, but then again, I've never had any problems with anything. I've heard good things about chip mccormick, they're affordable on midway.
  15. Welcome from Collierville. It's good to see some more of us on here.
  16. Welcome, some guy. I make it to RangeUSA on occasion, but a friend of mine is nearing completion on his indoor shooting range, so range fees will soon be a thing of the past.
  17. Welcome mightymouse!
  18. I think I have a title.
  19. I think I may use that quote in my pro-gun paper.
  20. I'll start thread off by saying that I am a firm proponent of the second amendment and interperet it as affirming a personal right to bear arms, not just the collective right of a state. I am enrolled in a persuasive writing class this semester. As part of the class I have to write two papers, one on each side of a controversial issue. I chose gun control, as I already know a lot about the subject. My question is, what are all of the arguments against the right to bear arms? I've thought of the possible increase of accidents and crimes of passion, but what are some of the other ones that you guys have hear? If you have any particularly profound ideas on why we should be able to keep and bear arms post them here as well. I think it would be interesting to see a thread that shows the reasons that we've heard (be they good or ludicrous, most of the one's I've heard are the latter) against the RKBA as well as all of the reasons for it.
  21. shhhh, that makes sense. they don't like making sense.
  22. I have tinnitus as well. I was in a band, not the military, but snare drums and ride cymbals at close range aren't easy on the ears either. The ringing isn't bad unless you end up in a silent room, then it gets a little annoying.
  23. I will. It's probably gonna be my xmas present to myself.
