  1. An AR and perhaps 10 loaded magazines should do the trick.
  2. Turnip greens are good, I love asparagus, but raw white onions are a travesty of a vegetable.
  3. I had some free Michelobe Ultra at the fight tonight, now I'm thinking about having a Johnnie Walker black label on the rocks before bed.
  4. I've rafted the Ocoee a couple of times, probably will again later this summer. It's loads of fun.
  5. God Bless America.
  6. What kind of ammo were you using? My XD-9 didn't like Tennessee Reloads at all.
  7. Habeus Corpus isn't the same thing as full rights to a trial by jury, first of all. Secondly, give him a fair trial. There is more than enough evidence against him. There isn't a lawyer in the world that could get him off. There's no need to eschew procedure to convict Bin Laden.
  8. Bartlett also has waaayyyyy too many wagon wheels.
  9. It's kind of new, I think. I've only heard it in the past year or so.
  10. Why leave Bartlett? That's my least favorite part. Pick a direction for your streets, East-West or North-South, seriously. They all intersect at random points. Summer is north of Stage, except for when it's south of Stage? Is it called Egypt-Central or Fisk? Or Both? I HATE BARTLETT!
  11. Memfrica, or Mogadishu on the Mississippi.
  12. Every city gets -vegas stuck on the end at some point if it sounds like it will work. My personal favorite, however, is Jonesboogie Rockinsas (Jonesboro Arkansas).
  13. Doberman killed the monkey. It's happened to the best of us.
  14. I carry around my ultra-liberal friends all the time. They don't know.
  15. They can't stop paying taxes, not under the constitution at least. Read Article I Section 8. Is this a response to any particular legislation, or just general rhetoric?
  16. I don't think anyone but me saw the Barrett in that movie, but it's there.
  17. In the opening scene when he engages the helicopter it's an 82a1. Later in the movie he shoots the soup can with the Chey-tac.
  18. It will be a narrow decision, that only applies to Washington D.C., and will rule that a complete ban on functional firearms is unconstitutional, but they won't go much further than that. Scalia or the Chief Justice will write it.
  19. In shooter Mark Wahlberg cycles the action of his 82a1 after every shot, like a bolt action.
  20. They're going to affirm an individual right. Maybe tomorrow.
  21. Damn Mars, straight for the throat. You could have at least brought up the M1 Abrams before going for the kill.
  22. That's a good point Mars, one that was brought up in the amicus brief submitted by many leaders of the military. http://www.abanet.org/publiced/preview/briefs/pdfs/07-08/07-290_RespondentAmCu11GeneralsAHSA.pdf As far as the ACLU changing their tune after Heller, they are staying away from the case with a ten foot pole. They did not submit an amicus brief, nor have they released any statement whatsoever on it, that I know about.
  23. The opinion only extends to Guantanamo, and nowhere else.
  24. I'm not arguing against strict scrutiny, I just thought it was an interesting argument coming from the ACLU. Strict scrutiny calls for a law to 1) serve a compelling governmental interest, 2) be narrowly tailored, and 3) be the least restrictive means for achieving that interest. The above statement seems to be arguing for nothing more than rational basis. I was just amused to see the ACLU using the very argument that is used against them in free speech cases.
