  1. I have the Comptac CTAC and it works well with a tucked in shirt.

    THE Question

Tungsten, is there a way to ban anyone that votes for Timothy Dalton?
  3. The really lousy part for him is apparently the kite-surfers had all decided the wind was too high and were putting their gear away when this occurred. As far as letting go, you are harnessed in for kite surfing. Sucks to be him.
  4. Bush has already done a number on the 4th.
  5. It also has really no chance of putting down an attacker. .22 is not for self defense, and I think stands a roughly equal chance of scaring a bad guy off or making him really mad, with almost no chance of actually stopping him. .380 isn't much better. I know some of you carry .380s, but you always admit that shot placement is key with smaller calibers. If she can practice enough to consistently place shots in critical areas under stress, she can handle a more effective weapon.
  6. I understand that, but I've bought guns before that I have found rust on after getting home and taking apart. I don't ask to strip a weapon until I am ready to purchase it, but I don't want any surprises when I get home.
  7. I may go with my brother to this to look for something old, cheap, and russian.
  8. Several of the gun shops in town have staffs that seem to go out of their way to ignore you. "How can we help you?" and "I'll be with you in just a minute" if you're busy seem obvious, but at least one gun store in town tends to treat you like you just walked into a private club without an invitation when you walk through the door. A local shop does not allow you to disassemble a gun before buying it. I will not buy anything from there again.
  9. Musicman, I've described The Mars Volta to a friend as the hipster version of Dream Theater. Queens of the Stone Age is great too. Is The Mars Volta a top 40 band? If so mainstream tastes sure have shifted since I quit paying attention to them.
  10. I'll answer it. My problem isn't where the money went, it's where it came from; the government. I think everyone should do what they can to help each other out when in need, and there are organizations that do just that. My problem comes in when somebody in Nashville decides that everyone needs a cell phone, and I should pay for it. I am admittedly not very familiar with the welfare system, but it seems to me that most of the truly hardworking individuals fall through the cracks due to a bad system. Most people that really work as hard as they can to provide for their family do not qualify for most welfare programs. I don't have a problem with the concept of helping those in need, I do have a problem with how it is done currently. It's all good
  11. I taught Jeff Cooper everything he knew about guns. Before I was born. Think about it.
  12. Can you get all these welfare benefits while employed? I may be confused, but I did not think the person at the McDonald's window was eligible for much. Also, who had their car and college payed for by mommy and daddy? I took that comment as directed toward me, but I don't think I've ever met you. If we want to make unfounded presumptions about each other then I'll play. I'm not really sure how you have any room to talk since you've been living in a 40 room mansion ever since that huge settlement you reached with Krispy Kreme donuts for discriminating against you based upon your religious beliefs. And to answer your question, I consider one who does what has to be done without expecting handouts from anyone hard working. There was a time in this country that FDR had to undertake huge public works program to create jobs because men would not accept money that they did not earn. That is what I call hard working. I got my first 3 jobs without a cell phone, so yes, I have tried to get a job without a cell phone. It can be done. Easily.
  13. Go put on a Foghat record.
  14. I have a hard time with the idea that anyone on welfare is considered hard working.
  15. You guys are just old.
  16. I don't expect the government to pay for ammunition.
  17. They're a band that is like Rush, Tool, The Misfits, and The Gipsy Kings all rolled into a ball. I just listened to their "Frances the Mute" album, and it's insane. I've never heard anything like it before, it's definitely different, and I really like it so far.
  18. I don't know about the rest of the state, but here in Shelby county we have serious problems with bogus 911 calls. I'm sure this won't help, especially when the 60 monthly minutes run out and 911 is the only number you can dial.
  19. ...is blowing my mind right now. How have I never heard of these guys before?
  20. That was awesome. In the interview after the race he didn't even want to talk about the world record, he was just happy to bring the gold medal home.
  21. Rumour has it he suddenly grew to 8 feet tall after the last event and started terrorizing downtown Beijing, stay tuned for details.
  22. GO AMERICA!!! PHELPS DID IT!!!!
  23. I don't know about that. Swimming isn't gymnastics, it's not subjective. Whoever gets to the wall first wins, period. That's what I like about it.
