  1. Heading to Bubba Gump's for anniversary--anyone know if they're still NOT posted? Saw the posts from back in 2009, but wanted to confirm nothing's changed since then?
  2. Didn't check all but the cheapest one, but looks like they're to be had online: CCI 0025 .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire Shotshell Number 11 Shot http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/64450-5.html
  3. Yep! Check out the link from the op, and there's some YouTube reviews as well. It's funny, a guy jumps up and down just to show how it doesn't budge--LOL!
  4. Talk about small world, or fate--my Remora should be here tomorrow! Just discovered them myself and ordered one for my PT745--can't wait to see how it does, and then maybe I'll get one for the PM9 as well. Thanks for the review!
  5. Thanks for all your thoughts! Keep 'em coming! I, too, love the SA, and will agree with the Glock fans. I think it actually helped me at first, and to always have the consistent "pull" for every shot to help me with control. Right now I have one carry that's actually SA/DA and really like it--although I'll admit to being nervous keeping it cocked and locked, as my DAO's is in itself the safety as y'all mentioned. Now I'm wondering if it's worth having the ones with the decocker--really significant to you and your shooting or uses? Peace of mind? Thanks again for your thoughts!
  6. I was wondering what y'all thought (preferred) about each of the options listed in the post title. I own something in most of 'em, but not all. NOT making this a question about firearm brand at all. What pros/cons are there for you with each configuration, and perhaps (surely?) it depends on what the firearm's task will be. Could we limit this to just pistols for now and leave the wheels for later? 1. In general what do you think about the options (SA, DAO, DA/SA, SA/DA, DAK, "Safe Action")? 2. Does the option you like depend on whether it's for (& how...) (a) target/plinking ( CCW © competition shooting (d) hunting (e) Zombie hunting Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts and experiences!
  7. Agreed. I do notice those "extra steps" that a seller goes to in order to bring the sale home. I will keep this in mind for any future sales postings I might advertise. Thanks for the good reminders.
  8. I can't remember where/when I got these, but often had one open in a window and my browser in TGO open in the other. Hope they help--I still use them from time to time to check specs that I can't remember off the top of my head. I can't post attachments, but you're welcome to access them from my Google Docs folder: https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=explorer&chrome=true&srcid=0B7gI0CFYxDvOZjcwNGQ5MDUtNDllYi00ZTA0LWJmYzYtZWQ5MDEyYzAyMGRi&hl=en_US&authkey=CIbk99QI https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ArgI0CFYxDvOdGo3aTlJc1E4STVUWFhpM01fTVdSREE&hl=en_US&authkey=CNCKyzs Let me know if this doesn't work--kinda new to the Google docs thing.....
  9. Dang it--now I'm more depressed than ever that I sold my 0.40 S&W JCP about a year ago....I think I'll follow your lead and buy a C9 AND a carbine, too! My "higher end" stuff never minded being in the same range bag/cabinet.
  10. +1. Words aren't enough, guys and gals. Thx.
  11. Awesome! And welcome!
  12. Read mine cover to cover every time! It was really helpful, too, for a newb to CCW. Yes, the e-mails can be annoying, but a quick scan and hit delete and read those that I want--not a prob.
  13. I had a KHolster for my G19 and just never seemed to make it work. Now I've just ordered one of these: I'll let everyone know what I think, or if someone has one/tried one and has comments? Home of the Original Remora No Clip Holster
  14. I made the mistake(?) of making my "Gun Wishlist". Including the AK, I now am up to 17 that I STILL want to own in addition to those I already do. Oh, I need to first admit that I have a problem, right?
  15. I just fed some of their 380 FMJ and JHP's through my LCP yesterday--it is GREAT! Yes, if I order enough to beat Wally World (WW?), then I'd definitely do it. Need me some more 45, too and WW doesn't seem to be keeping the 100 ct WWB in stock near me! Go for it!
  16. Welcome and thank you for serving as a LEO.

    SR9

Dolomite can chime in here as well--last I was there Doug had a smaller inventory but had a wide range of accessories and ammo as well. And I'm sure he'd order anything you wanted just like all the other LGS. I always end up walking out with something even if I'm doing a transfer. Consider me an SR9c evangelist, too--ha! I won't have crazy hair and ask for money, though (oops, did I say that out loud?)...

    SR9

I know you want to try the SR9, but I've got the SR9c with the 17-rd extended that might give you some idea? I could meet up at CCA since I have a pass already but could do Gunny's as well on your dime (did my CCW class there). Just thought I'd offer. Ditto to Dolomite_supafly's info--I got my SR9c from Bill's in Maryville/Alcoa last year but have used Bud's several times, and Doug at On Target is great. Send me a PM if interested.
  19. Welcome from back East!
  20. Just got back from the range and happened to shoot both my SR9c and G19. They are both great. The Ruger, at least for me, has a great trigger--not enough o's in smooooooth to describe. To each his own, but hope you get to try out several before you plunk down the coin.
  21. I bought my first Glock from topglock.com and had it transferred through Gunny's down your way. Although everything worked out, their customer service stunk, could NEVER get anyone on the phone to confirm details of the transfer, and it took a couple of weeks for the transaction to go through--many other better internet experiences since then (Bud's, CTD, etc.). HTH.
  22. Very sorry to hear this. Yes, karma is a bitch, so don't worry about the pr*** who did this. So glad that she got to run and play at the park. You're a good Dane daddy. Take care, friend.
  23. I'm busting out laughing b/c I'm remembering my first trip to Wally World and I walked out the door with only two of the five items I was supposed to get, I was so distracted/worried.....ditto to others' sentiments about it fading with time, but still do a "check" to make sure concealed.
  24. Done. Boy, and someone called me out just the other day asking "What has Obama done to restrict 2-A rights?" Jeez, but they're slick, slippery, SO 'S.....you finish the acronym for me, would ya'.... I said the whole thing to the person--LOL!
