  1. Success! Shot about 65 at the range. Had one missfeed (I think its because my magazine is brand new, and had one misfire.. it fired after I rechambered.) These rounds were at 5.8-5.9 grains. Definitely not maxing out the charge, but I was putting holes in the target on top of holes - really tight groups. Next time going to try cranking it up to 6.2 or .3.
  2. Contact this dude. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/hunting/26364-do-rules-still-apply.html His schnauzers need a security detail.
  3. .. I do it myself. Going to Owl Hollow today guys.. if you dont see me back here, you know I did something wrong! Thanks gang.
  4. sorry bro.. call it like i see it
  5. I guess it comes down the what is considered "substantially similar" wording. That is very relative and ultimately its up to the Judge to decide. He may very well say that ALL of these improper postings are "substantially similar" to the recommended verbiage and in that case, this entire thread is moot.
  6. Why would you bother? Because TN code says you should. Once you get a HCP the law states you must carry it with you at all times while packing. Whether others would need one or not.
  7. well.. Accurate recommends starting at 5.7gr but allow for a 6.7gr maximum.. so i guess these primers will be ok to go with.
  8. Quick question: Starting to make my 1st bullets using the load data I got from the Accurate Arms. 185gr JHP, 5.7gr starting load of AA#2.. but they recommended Federal 150 LP primers.... I only have Remington 2-1/2 LP primers. Are they the same or does this change my load requirements now?!
  9. wideners.com has wolf primers in stock. just bought a bunch. if you buy in bulk the hazmat fee isnt that bad... i think mine came to $34/1000 shipped. ive got some SP magnum primers at the house though and I would trade for LP primers if someone were so inclined... need LP more than i need SP.
  10. Actually - this loader is a full length resizer. any old brass should be fine.
  11. one would hope...
  12. I think its 1 year.. but reports of Glock repairing for free after that are widespread.
  13. I understand what you are saying regarding HCP holders. My comment remains that just because someone is at a Range, doesn't mean you need to produce a permit if LEO asks. I dont have to, but you would. We are in agreement on this.
  14. So is it legally defensible to carry in a alcohol-selling establishment who has posted incorrectly? Has this been tested in court yet?
  15. agreed - blow those suckers away! TN CODE: It is a defense to unlawful carrying if the possession or carrying was: By a person possessing a rifle or shotgun while engaged in the lawful protection of livestock from predatory animals;
  16. I'm pretty sure I'm right. You dont need a permit to shoot at a range. Which is what I mean by saying people at ranges aren't required to have them. It is a defense to unlawful carrying if the possession or carrying was: Incident to lawful hunting, trapping, fishing, camping, sport shooting or other lawful activity;
  17. sure. He could ask. Doesnt mean people there are required to have them.
  18. haha.. what can I say? I'm not a great shot and a 12" target at 75 feet is a long way away for me with a 3" barrel!
  19. I dont believe you ever need a permit to carry on your own property. Just in public.
  20. the leo saw 5 pistols on you while driving by? im not contesting this, just curious as to where you had them.
  21. no experience with their scales, but RCBS is top notch. If their name is on it, its likely a good product.
  22. Yes is will shoot hollow points.. Remington 185gr Golden Sabers or Federal 230gr Hydrashocks are both good defense rounds for this gun.. but there are others also. Really.. your ability to quickly put a round on the target is the most important part of a good defensive round. p.s. I have a Glock 21 and LOVE that gun, but it is a little too big for CC imo.
  23. good news. I picked up a Hoppe's lead removal adapter for my cleaning kit and a few runs through with that and another good barrel cleaning and Im sparklin again.
