  1. Seems that on VERY cheap mags, you probably stand a better chance of the feed lips deforming before the spring dies. We're talking sub-ProMag magazines. If there is even such a thing. Mac
  2. Hmmm, I have some leftover kydex from a mag-pouch project. Looks like I'm gonna have to break out the heat gun. Mac
  3. Here's me with my non-surprising recommendation: STI Spartan Under $700 to start, alot of the basics included, and the sky's the limit when you want to upgrade. Mac
  4. The STI Trojan I ordered from Outpost 2 months ago. Mac
  5. Sure, there are UFO's. By definition, anything you don't recognize is unidentified. From the alien perspective, I'm firmly convinced that there is alternate life in the universe. Have they done fly-by's over Alabama trailer parks? I hope not, but that would explain why they didn't stop to chat. Mac
  6. Please tell me that was a backhand "Mall Ninja" reference. Because that would define apropos. Mac
  7. I also vote for dump the Survivor v2 drama. Shoot the challenges, the two that did the worst go to the elimination. You know, kinda like life, do well = get reward, do poor = go home. But then it wouldn't pull in all the non-shooter "reality show" addicts that love good manipulated drama. Mac
  8. ATAS, it's not just for Call of Duty anymore. Mac
  9. At the 'Boro shows, Specialty Arms II from Lavernge typically has one of the largest layouts of all the vendors. I would not be surprised to find that they are the one's your looking for. Unfortunately, I did not make it to the show to know for sure. Mac

Hey, everyone knows I'm an idiot, and they still let me post on occassion. Jump on in, the water's fine. Mac
  11. Chiming on with an FN-SLP Mk 1. Probably the least felt recoil I've experienced in a shotgun. I brutalized mine straight out of the box trying to get it to fail, and I couldn't. Mac
  12. Since mine will be doing 3G competition only, I'm running the light cylinder that came in it. The heavy was in the box, but I don't intend to run any hi-brass or door-knockers, so it'll just collect dust. Mac

    Wish glock would

Not sure what a Glock 26.5 would do for me that my Kahr can't. My 3 carry pieces as of now are a G26, Kahr CW9, and Colt Defender. All serve their purpose and do their jobs very well. Totally off-the-wall guestimate, but I would imagine the reason they aren't doing a small caliber single stack is the same reason they can't/won't import their .380. Somebody in a suit somewhere says, "No." Mac

    If you had...

I wish they had mine for $999. Actually, been waiting on it for a month, going to be a little more than stock. Mac
  15. I'd like to bypass the political conversation, and say that I don't open carry or wear buttons detailing that I'm armed simply because OC +/- Informative Button = Target. I'd prefer to be the quiet one in the crowd ready to protect my family or myself without drawing attention. And I certainly don't want to be on the news or in the paper as the guy who carries a gun. I'll make my statements by voting and working with my representatives. I educate everyone I find who has questions or misconceptions regarding gun ownership, handling, or carrying to the best of my ability, but I'm not going to carry a sign or wear a button stating, "Ask me about the handgun on my hip." Mac
  16. I'll vote for the FN-SLP. Bought one, put 125 rounds through it straight out of the box with no failures or issues of any kind. And, for under $900, it's ready to go for 3-gun by adding a side-saddle. Mac
  17. Panda. Then eat it. Then post the video on the interwebs. Mac

    If you had...

66% of an STI Trojan. Mac
  19. Watchout for the Airweights or Ti's. They are NOT fun to shoot. If you can find an old Model 60 or similar that is made of steel, she'll be much happier. You can even put pink grips on it, if she's that type. Mac
  20. My usual input: VV N320: 5.0g for 180 JHP in .40, 4.2g for 125 JHP in 9MM. YMMV Mac
  21. I typically buy my 2011 gear from Shooters Connection or Dawson Precision. Don't know of anyone around here that keeps them on a shelf. Dawson also sells a tuning kit that should allow you to reliably up the capacity. I have Dawson tuned 140MM mags holding 20 rounds of .40. What length are you looking at? 125, 140 or 170? Mac
  22. Pretty much anything that fits 3" 1911's works great with my CW9. I currently use a Don Hume IWB and it fits the Kahr perfectly. Mac
  23. You promised not to tell!Mac
  24. Has the same plastic U clip for slide removal as the P22 that has always screamed, "BREAK ME!!!" However, I've always loved the PP series Walthers. Mac
  25. I'm somewhat dissapointed in their lack of explanation of how the bullets end up in your ass. Mac
