  1. Also, if waiting for a GGC member to open the gate - - - Please Do Not pull right up to the automatic sliding gate. Doing so blocks any arriving club member from pulling up to the gate's opening sensor to use their entry key. Please wait in the parking area across from the gate.
  2. Well Dang...., I'll have to tell my agent to not close on that sponsorship deal with Brooks Brothers! The Logo was going to be so AWESOME! Hmmmmm...., if I can find a Tux Jacket at Goodwill, I wonder if that Bond fellow has the Omega Watch account all tied up?
  3.       What...., Hold On...., Has this thread turned into a discussion about gamers wearing their NASCAR Shirts?   I'm In!   :stir:
  4.   Don't forget to include a picture of your sweet Smith Corona 1903A3 that we were ringing the steel plates with!
  5.   But not at all retro which I would think is the point of having an A1 upper.
  6. Yup, NDS is making the Brownells upper and lowers.   I can't figure out why Brownells went with black annodizing and not the excellent Colt XM Gray that Nodak Spud offers!
  7. Get some training.   Seriously, if you have never shot an AR based firearm now is the perfect time for some instruction.  This will keep you from developing any bad techniques or procedures.   Besides, learning to Run-The-Gun is a real "blast."
  8.   Isn't one of those a "Sister" by name?
  9. You're going to need more cans of this stuff! :tough:
  10. Upon looking at this picture I bet I'm not the only Army guy who doesn't get a lump in their throat and a chill down their spine..... ....., after seeing that some troop left the WD-1 wire behind. Trust the 1SG didn't make him go back and get it!
  11.   I'll have my security manager send you a copy of my clearance.    Perhaps then you will read me on to whatever this "hot garbage" code word stuff is all about.
  12.     Steve,   Several of us on TGO are GGC members.  I'm sure we'll be more than happy to have you as our guest anytime that you want to go shooting.   Also, you can come out and shoot in any of our scheduled matches that take place on the weekends.  The matches are open to any competitor, you don't have to be a GGC member.    http://www.gallatingun.com/   Again..., Welcome to The Patron State of Shootin' Stuff.
  13.   Outstanding!!!!!!!!    :woohoo:
  14.   40 or more FULL AUTOS!!!!!!!     Hot Da*m!   That will be near a Million Dollars worth of machine guns that you can feed ammo to.
  15. Welcome Stimpee! This thread really needs a Beretta pic..... My Elite that Ernest Landgon gunsmith for me back in 2001. I'm thinking a Real Smart Guy - - - say somebody like a Director of Product Development and Engineering - - - could figure out a method to get Ernie away from Bill Wilson and back with the world's longest running privately held firearms manufacturing company who is locating their USA production to Tennessee. :x:
  16. Its all code that means something to the right people......   "There is fire at the travel agency..... Wounds my heart with a monotonous languor...... Molasses tomorrow will bring forth cognac..... John has a long mustache......"                                               - The Longest Day
  17. Appears to be a Reservoir Dogs thing using aliases: Mr. Blonde, Mr. Blue, Mr. Brown, Mr. Orange, Mr. Pink, and Mr. White.
  18. Well Done to El Guapo!       Ryan deserves all of our thanks for putting these multi-gun matches together.   And...., my apologies for repainting the Steel pistol targets on stage 5 when my squad got there.  It didn't occur to me that all of those leafs would stick to them once they hit the ground.  Not to mention the white paint on our fingers from re-setting them.  :ugh:
  19. Hey El Guapo!   I'm going to run the new IMG rules for Heavy Metal that we discussed.  20 rounds for an optic rifle and 10 rounds of .45ACP in the pistol.   Is that good with you?
  20. Gee Guys...., Don't make Ryan Mad. Otherwise we'll have more of those 3 inch plates at 25 yards hidden behind a barrel along with mini poppers at 200 yards hidden in the tree shadows to deal with!
  21. Sidecarist has given some very good insight on how to flatten the shaft and countersink the hole - - - the most important advice being Go SLOW! But, before cutting into any metal...., I would give a different holster a try. You state that you had a problem getting the holster's button to latch. Appears to me that the holster that you are using places pressure in a couple of areas that might have an impact on the issue that you had.
  22. Without any pictures I'm just taking a wild-ass guess here.......   Is it possible that the thumb break area of the holster had enough pressure on the right side to push the tip of the thumb safety shaft toward the inside of the frame?  That could have moved the safety out away from the frame on the left side just enough to allow the plunger and its spring to "depart."  Would also need to know if you were carrying in condition 1 (cocked & locked).    I have seen tight fitting holsters press the slide release in this matter..., that is why many 1911 gunsmiths will countersink the right side frame holes and bob the end of the shafts.
  23. Michael,   Heavy Metal Division also require .45 ACP handgun?
  24. Monkeybat,   What DA/SA handgun are you shooting?
  25. Damn It Guys! All of this talk of 9mm ARs got me so fired up I'm going to build another spare upper using the Kaw Valley Precision 8.5" Barrel.
