  1. But it is the Ultimate and Final word for all LEOs in the state. The AG's opinions are the base from which law enforcement can act.
  2. FYI. Tennessee Attorney General Opinion # 05-154 dated Oct 11, 2005 is where the AG states that open carry is allowed in the state for those who have a Handgun Carry Permit.
  3. John, To answer your PM to me...... D/82 Aviation. I will flying Cobras back then. BTW - - - You need to change your PM options. You can send, but currently replies are blocked.
  4. I agree. Unless I have all of my other battle buddies around me also doing the Open Carry deal (along with carrying our basic load & wearing PBA & other cool stuff) my tactial insight is to apply one of "Murphy's Rules of Combat" ie - Try to look unimportant. Open Carry invites a simple "Shoot-Him-First" ROE for the Bad Guys. However I do use it to my advantage when I note someone who is OC or printing badly. I observe who is watching the OC and rank them as possible threats.
  5. Why not...., even those of us who earned our Berets back in the Bad Old Days at Benning or/and Bragg agree that everyone should enjoy a flap of wool on their heads during summertime!
  6. AGM-114C HELLFIRE missile.
  7. Old Datsun pickup truck that was driving away from an anti-aircraft site.
  8. Lost my Cherry during the "East Carribbean War Games 83" in Grenada. It was my "first" and I reckon you always remember that one the best. Reckon that sort of dates me......
  9. Why did you provide him your HCP?

    Re-Bluer?

WOW! Reckon I came to the right place to find somebody who could re-blue a firearm. So far I have three within a easy drive of my "undisclosed" Middle Tennessee location. 1. Sam at the Gallatin Gun Shop. 2. JMR Gunsmithing in Brush Creek (still need contact info from The Rabbi) 3. Todd Watts in Christiana (Murfreesboro) I'm going to talk to each one of them and I'll let everyone know how things turn out. Thanks Everybody!

    Re-Bluer?

Well, I've been called little more than "gruff" at times myself. I reckon Sam & I might get along. How long did he say it would take to re-blue your rifle?

    Re-Bluer?

Thanks. This could be the "think there's a guy in Gallatin...." that I have heard about. I'll check it out.

    Re-Bluer?

Anybody know a firearm refinisher within driving distance of the Middle Tennessee area? I can't find anyone that can re-blue a firearm in the MT, Southern KY or Northern AL area. I'm looking for somebody that I can drive to and drop a firearm off with. The UPS/FEDEX rip off cost to ship a handgun out of state for a re-blue is getting to be almost as costly as the refinish itself.

  19. Yippeeeeee!!!!! I'm no longer the FNG! Welcome Navy.
  20. ".... Thursday, the District Attorney General’s office said they will not seek charges against the shooter.....' Reckon the DA knew that on 1 July the "Castle Doctrine" self-defense bill became law in the state of Tennessee. It permits an individual to use deadly force to protect him or herself wherever they have a legal right to be. The law also provides civil immunity for those who defend themselves from criminal attack. So...., NO ACLU case for YOU --- "Second Would-be Robber!"
  21. Yup...., been assigned to Bragg a couple of times along with a tour in the 101st and a few other outfits here & there.
  22. While doing a Google search for some S&W parts I found TGO. I have already noted a couple of names from other car & firearm sites that I frequent. I'm looking forward to reading & posting here. Later,
