  1. Are you crewing a "department" Huey with a bunch of retired CWOs flying them? If so tell Bruce that I said hello!
  2. Trust that wasn't in Gilbertsville, KY home of those A-Holes John & Matt of "Fugate Firearms." BTW - big mo contacted me and we're talking. He is sending me some pictures of the 27-2.
  3. Just standing by for big mo to answer my PM & email. Yea I really, really need that 3.5 to complete my 27 collection. 8 3/8 6 1/2 6 5 4 NEED a 3 1/2!!!!!!! BTW - Funny but the 4 inch Model 27 is the lowest production barrel length. They only made it for two years. Of course I'm only collecting P&R N Frames! AND - - - I SHOOT Them!!!!!
  4. SOLD! I'll Take It. That is if your 27-2 is for sale and it has the 3.5 inch barrel. A 3.5 inch will complete my S&W Model 27 collection. I am a serious buyer with cash in hand. Tell me what you want for it. Email coming your way. PS. I just re-read all of the post and noted that grimel did make a offer. I will defer if big mo takes that offer.
  5. I'm voting for the guy who in his youth rolled in hot and put bombs on target! I can relate to that.
  6. Also any firearm 50 years or older that isn't controlled by any other regulation (such as fullauto weapons). I think the ATF is getting so tried of answering this question that they now highlight the wording in RED. See link below. http://www.atf.gov/firearms/curios/index.htm Does Not have to be on the list if the firearm is 50 years old. This is a common mistake among many who ask "is it on the C&R list." The list was designed as a "curio" listing that is updated whenever the ATF gets around to it. An example is Pre-64 Winchesters since they have value as a collector firearm. Many aren't 50 years old yet but have been on the "list" since I got my 03 FFL 12 years ago. BTW - - - Its the best $30 I have ever spent in regard to my Gun-Nut addiction.
  7. Saw this over on The HighRoad.net forum. Its funny! http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=377739 Enjoy!
  8. I have one of those Mossberg .410HDs. Well...., really the delightful & wonderful "Mrs Kari" has the weapon. Its on her side of the bed for those times when I'm not home and she hears something go bump in the night that somehow got pass our German Shepard. My side of the bed has the 870 tactical.
  9. Or Brownells.... http://www.brownells.com Or Midway.... http://www.midwayusa.com Or even S&W...... http://www.smith-wesson.com BTW - - - I wonder what Napier Homes Thug tactics are employed by removing the rear sight?
  10. Which will then transitioned into college money...... Nice build BTW.
  11. This is under the hood of my old red C4 Corvette. The "Heart of the Beast" LT5 found only in the 6993 ZR-1s made between 1990 - 1995.
  12. The thugs will learn to only rob restaurants that have bars. They didn't follow Naifeh's "No self-defense in restaurants that sells drinks" guidelines.
  13. Yup it surprised me also. I was always amazed that the box had 100 rounds loose for all those years and didn't go short or long on the round count. I use WWB for IDPA and could always load my ten "ten rounders" for the match using a single box. Now I have a "short" mag.
  14. I buy WWB at Walmart by the case and have been doing so for several years. Yet as of late I have noticed that the 100 round box has become a 98-99 round box. I hadn't seen that in the past. I would had wrote that off as a fluke if it was one or two boxes, but with my last case all ten boxes were short.
  15. Why? Is there anything we can do on our end of the "comcast.net" deal?
  16. OK...., Now I'm tracking. The Del-Ton was their complete rifle kit. Well Done!
  17. My favorite is a Browning HP with the Novak HRT package wearing early Craig Spegel grips. Holster used is the Tom Givens Rangemaster in horsehide by C. Rusty Sherrick. Its my "Sunday-Go-To-Meeting" carry.
  18. That folks is a very key point!
  19. I'm wondering how 4 on the Supreme Court could not understand, "The Right of the People......."
  20. John, Interesting point. I have always wondered how my Military training would affect the outcome of a "civil" engagement. I often run into problems shooting an IDPA match since my standard battle drill is the shoot until the threat goes down. I tend to fire alot and let the best two hits be scored. Damn the idea of "Everybody gets served Once" since that isn't how I've been trained or reacted in a fight. Data from GWOT is showing that threats are being engaged with several shots before moving on to the next target.
  21. John, Is the Silver Bear brass or steel case?
  22. I also hangout at AR15.com and didn't realize that I was a "geek." Maybe now I can set the clock on the VCR.
  23. This is why I went to my CLEO in person. You have to explain to him that he is not conducting the background check (ATF will do that). He is only being informed and his signature knowledges that you are applying. That is all the ATF needs (or wants). Later you will provide him a file copy of your 03 FFL.
