That is why the XM177E1 became the XM177E2. The 10" barrel on the "E1" proved to be an undesirable length due to function reliability and accuracy issues. The "E2" which was basically the same Carbine with a 11.5" barrel. But I must admit that a 10 incher has a tac cool factor all its own!

They repair those guns and then take the fix to the production line. Just checkout the KTOG website and read the posts on the fixes by SN range for all of the Kel-Tec products with "improvements." Maybe that is how Kel-Tec keeps cost down. Little to No Pre production testing - - - let the customer do it for ya!

I have an early DSA FAL back when they were building them with Imbel lowers. Great Weapon! I get sub inch MOA using match ammo. I have been using it in 3 Gun matches for years just to put the fear to the poodle gun shooters. No Question when that 7.62 smacks steel. And....., Don't Tell Anybody....., But just between you and me...., I like the FAL more than my M-14.
