The RPK trunnion was used on the Yugo for reinforcement while using the grenade launcher. The stronger RPK trunnion will have a raised area on the receiver (see yellow arrow). A regular AK will be flat. Here is link to some good Yugo info and pics. M70B1 Fixed & B2 Folding Stock (AK47) Don't think anybody is now making a Yugo with the correct trunnion. Several of the AK forums report that those part kits have dried up. The ones being sold by Century Arms now uses a standard AK trunnion. Best guess is that you'll have to search the online sites to find one. Good Luck!

Trust you'll find her G32. Because having a wife that shoots .357 SIG is full of awesome!!!! Good Luck.

I use Ballistol on old dried out leather. It seems to put the "life" back into it without the wet dish-rag feel that some products do. I don't use it to clean my weapons, I'm a #9 with Kroil to clean, CLP to protect type of guy. However, several of the C&R forums recommend it for cleaning after using corrosive ammo for many of the same reasons that leroy mentions in his post. BUT - - - The Smell. The Delightful & Wonderful Mrs Kari (She Who Must Be Obeyed) has ruled that Ballistol is for garage use only.

I can't support somebody who would use an in-dash video of a LEO getting shot to death as promotion for his company. This is simple...., the owner of Front Sight (Ignatius Piazza) is exploiting the death of a police officer. Google "Stop Screaming, Start Shooting…" Piazza's voiceover as the officer is being killed is beneath any sense of common dignity.

Is it still C&R if it has a new stock?
DMark replied to Backon4's topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
Interesting how the Firearms Technology Branch of the ATF can take a regulation about the importation of military C&R firearms and then somehow apply it to a U.S. made weapon already in the country (the M1 example). -
I did the same with my 9Pro and now it has the trigger that S&W should have made it with in the first place. The issue is S&W's OEM Striker Block that gives a very gritty trigger pull. The Apex "Ultimate Striker Block" changes the geometry for a smooth takeup before the trigger bar engages the sear cam. https://apextactical.com/store/product-info.php?pid20.html BTW - Accurate, Accurate, Accurate...., Did I mention how Accurate the M&P is?

Cutting down a barrel on an NHM 91- Gunsmith needed
DMark replied to Warbird's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
Check with Lebanon Gun Shop. Lebanon Gun Shop They now have a fulltime gunsmith in their shop. I stopped by there this past weekend and was impressed with his setup. -
- - - And a Training Plan (spoken like the old S-3 that I am).

Well Done! Who did you order it from?

I've got this idea that I need a Smith and Wesson model 27 or 29.
DMark replied to Will Carry's topic in Handguns
Will Carry, Here is a pic of what leroy and I are talking about in regard to "P&R." It was some extra steps that S&W once took on their firearms that the company bean-counters later said weren't needed and dropped as a cost savings in 1982. BTW - - - The Recessed is only found on the magnums. The idea was that it supported the rim better. You can see in the pic that the base of the rim is flush with the back of the cylinder. -

leroy, Thanks for the kind comments. Oddly enough, a pinned & recessed 4 inch Model 27 is the rarest of all. Other than custom orders, S&W only made them as standard production from 1979 to 1982. I lucked out and found mine on GunBroker a couple of years ago. Before "clean up." After. Agree that the "slick" presentation stocks look great on these N Frames. I also find them easier to shoot when using magnum loads. To the OP - - - Look for Model 27s made before 1982. They are know as P&R guns and will be well made. You should be able to buy one for less than the cost of the new "re-introduced" Model 27s with that horrible lock-hole of the side of the frame. Good luck! -

Georgia Arms was there with a good stock of their ammo. 500 rounds of 10mm went home with me.

Mighty Strong Words coming from a man drinking "Light" beer! Joe, I always figured you as a Barrel Aged Beer Drinker...., somebody who would enjoy a Edmund Fitzgerald Imperial Stout from Fitger's Brewhouse in Minnesota, or maybe a mug of Black Gold Imperial Stout brewed in Oregon. Light Beer, LIGHT BEER!!!! Next thing we'll know, you'll be bad-mouthing our Titans with a Switzer Sweet machine rolled cigar between your teeth. -
So Robert, We can use our "Free State" Hi-Cap mags in ESP?

Thanks everybody for all of the kind remarks and info. My son has been making the rounds of the local agencies. Most are very surprised that he already has his POST and ask what department sent him. They aren't aware that criminal justice majors can apply to attend one of the Academies. So, hiring him would save a department big taxpayer bucks - - - since the Bank of Mom & Dad has already taken care of that cost.
-
HE MADE IT!!!!!!!! Happy to post that our son graduated from the Law Enforcement Training Academy at Cleveland State this past Friday. He has completed all of the requirements as set forth by the Tennessee Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Commission and is ready to be certified as a full-time police officer. We're very proud of him! Now - - - Anybody know any Departments that are Hiring?

What Did You Folks Think of The Murfreesboro Gun Show?
DMark replied to Sidewinder's topic in Events and Gatherings
Not a bad show. I like the new layout. Agree with you that some folks are still asking "Post Election Panic" prices for their firearms. However, I did see a couple of tables that had some reasonable prices (should have picked up a 6 inch S&W 586 when I first saw it - - - it was GONE when I went back). -
How do you talk your daughter into carrying?
DMark replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I think that is the correct answer. If you raise your kids around the safe use of firearms, then it becomes another tool that they respect and most important, understand the how and the why you would use a firearm. However my wife (The Delightful & Wonderful Mrs Kari) is a lost cause having been raised in a YellowDog Democrat Liberal household. She doesn't hate firearms, but she is afraid of them and won't touch one. To her credit she did bring into the world two kids that can quote Jeff Cooper. To the OP, it will take that "moment" when your daughter realizes you mentorship for her need of a firearm is stronger than her objection of them. -

To the OP. Tell her that Homecoming Queen, Cheerleader, All Region Soccer Player gals shoot all the time. Once they reach 21, getting a HCP is no big deal. But Be careful - - - They also tend to "claim" any firearm that they like to shoot. -
WOW, Craig offers some great advice and pointers. Bottom Line - recoil means that you are shooting, that you are training. That is a GOOD THING!

Yea..., I'm with Cooper - - - Show us the Pics!

Wasn't me. I try to wear what is similar to my normal EDC cover...... Hot Weather - Hawaiian Shirt or Blue Blazer. Cold Weather - Suit Jacket or Winter Coat. The only vest(s) I have are the ones that carry AR/AK/FAL mags.
