  1. $25 is way, way too much.  :stunned:   Even if you did run all three stages, that would be near $.50 a shot.   I don't think I've ever seen a local club anywhere in the Southeast with that high of a normal club match fee - - - and I've been shooting IDPA since 1997.   JMHO.  NA's business model here is all wrong.  It should be looking at this as a means to get foot traffic into their store.  Until they understand that and lower the fee, these matches will contnue to be very unappealing to vast majority of experienced IDPA competitors.   Tell them to drop the fee to $15 and watch the buzz that will develop about the indoor NA match.
  2. I don't know....., read the entire Esquire story and there is something missing.   Why did he leave at 16 years?     Doesn't make sense to me.
  3.   No.   Must have at least 20 years to retire.   And you have to stay alive while folks are trying to kill you over those 20 years.
  4. Stage 3 - Bay 3...., TWO Texas Stars WITH Swingers in front of the Plate Rack AND Color Coded!!!!!!! :stunned: You'll need a Grad degree in Physics with an understanding of Phd level research in Range Rate Permutations and Combinations Data Interpretation & Probability of Motion Velocity Deceleration Infinitesimal Theory. For all you gamers out there already burning up your calculators, this "might" help...... And, don't forget that at best you'll only have 9 shotgun rounds to start the stage. :panic: As for Me - - - I'm going to carry as many mags as my belt will hold.
  5.   Orest has been saying that for the past 10 years!  :dunno:   Mark CMP Master Instructor
  6.   And don't forget The "Ice Classifier" Jan 2012 when the wind chill temp was 8 degrees!  :ugh:
  7. Powerful, Very Powerful.    A Mr. Smith goes to Washington type of moment.
  8.     Hey HOGNUT,   Maybe JimHouchin has somehow confused us with each other in spite of our different Hair Styles.    Mark
  9. I take it as a point of pride that several of the Arms that I Keep & Bear made the list.  :tough:
  10.   173rdABN has a listing in the for sale section, Brownells new in the wrapper USGI mags for $25.     Good Guy to deal with.
  11. Ishel,   The Windage Knob might not be indexed.   Before getting into the replacement of sights, check to make sure the rear sight adjustment is centered.    Follow the rear sight detail strip in the link below.   http://www.civilianmarksmanship.com/detailstrip.html   Then do the reassembly.   http://www.civilianmarksmanship.com/assemblyhtml/reassemblesightone.html   Let me know if this helps to center the group.   Mark CMP Master Instructor
  12. +1 for Tim Calhoun also.   Re-read your post and notice that you also want some frame modifications, Tim has the man-skills for that.

    Be That Guy

Took me a second or two to spot "that guy."   Well Played Sir..., Well Played!
  15. In over 15 years of IDPA shooting...., I think that might be the first one where the New Shooters almost out numbered the Experienced Shooters.   Not a Bad Thing.    Enjoyed it Michael.
  16.   That is how the verb is used in the 2 Amendment.   Well Regulated as in "Well Drilled" and "Well Trained" with the skill to operate firearms.  You can't defend a free state if you can't perform the manual of drills.     The anti's see the word and get that "Thrill going up their legs" because they see another reason for a Federal agency to write more Regulations.
  17. OUTSTANDING! The only thing he needs is a better hat. :pleased:
  18. John Noveske...... Thanks for a great rifle! We'll see you in Valhalla!
  19.     I agree, the whole "Shoot - Me - First" vest thing is just poor tactics IMHO. Folks seem surprised that shoot all of my IDPA matches with a dress coat or sport jacket and have done so since 1997.   To the OP.   The idea for IDPA (well at least in the beginning) was to shoot with what you carry. Any holster you do get can/should also double as your EDC.   For your Glock I would go with the Comp-Tac Belt Holster.  It will hold it tight to the body.   http://www.comp-tac.com/product_info.php?products_id=66   And Use a Good Belt!

While I would perfer to have the trigger covered - - - It does show off the fact that its a Colt Gold Cup. Very Nice Work
  21.   If you are referring to me.   You would be Very Wrong.   I can assure you that I have the experience to judge men under fire.   Mr. Yeager fails for his actions after the fight.
  22. ishel,   I am a CMP Master Instructor.   If you need any help, PM me and I'll pass you my contact info.   Mark
