  1. The Shield is a BUG with the flush base mags. With the 8 round mag it is a CCP. Two IDPA divisions for the price of one....., what a deal!
  2. Masojoh, thanks for the info. When it said "Defensive Carbine & Action Pistol" it wasn't clear to me if it was both firearms at the same time like a 2Gun Rifle/Pistol match. Think I'll come and shoot one of my PCCs. Any round count limitations on the mags for PCC?
  3. Has a DCAP rulebook been published?
  4. Didn't know that MTSC was moving to Saturday......, should have used pencil and not ink on my calendars! I'll have to keep an eye on the weather this Saturday for both Bowling Green and Manchester. Need to be ready to flex either North or South from my location. I'm planning on shooting the classifier up at GRGC with a wheel gun. In 18+ years of shooting IDPA I have never had a classification with a revolver.
  5. Jcoop, is Saturday a classifier (first quote) with an additional 2 or 3 regular IDPA stages (second quote)?
  6. Well DANG!!!!! She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed just reminded me that I have a family function on 2 April that I must attend.
  7. On my way to winning the "Most Malfunctions on EVERY STAGE while shooting BAD FACTORY Ammo" category..., I managed to misplace one of my magazines while furiously trying to clear the failures to fire dud ammo from my extremely magnificent Beretta Elite that Erine (now Ernest) Langdom skillfully and ingeniously crafted for me. Thus...., if anyone happened to find a Beretta magazine during or after the match - - - please contact me. UPDATE - - - Found my missing mag! It was in the bottom of my range bag hiding behind a Velcro flap that had lifted up. WooHoooooo!!!!! Heading to the range tomorrow with different brands of ammo to see if I have a bad lot of Federal, or if its an issue with my Elite..... Standby, more to follow. Best Regards, D. Mark
  8. IN! Going to start shooting some of my "Blasters from the Pass." Thursday night will be the Beretta Elite that Ernie Langdon built for me long ago before he became famous & successful and is now Ernest Langdon.
  9. Well let us get into a little bit of context here...... What the Former Saturday Night Live Comedian (FSNLC) who won an election with votes found in the truck of a car weeks after the polls closed asked to a highly skilled and experienced lawyer was this...... Senator FSNLC - "Now, again, I'm telling you this as it's coming out, so you know. But if it's true, it's obviously extremely serious and if there is any evidence that anyone affiliated with the Trump campaign communicated with the Russian government in the course of this campaign, what will you do?" Sessions - "Senator FSNLC, I'm not aware of any of those activities. I have been called a surrogate at a time or two in that campaign and I didn't have, did not have communications with the Russians, and I'm unable to comment on it." So taken in context Sessions statement was truthful because he met with the Russian ambassador in his capacity as a senator, not as a Trump campaign surrogate. Senator FSNLC asked during the hearing about communications between Russia and the Trump campaign — not about meetings Sessions took as a senator and a member of the Armed Services Committee. To help with some understanding on how these congressional hearing go (and I've had the misfortune to be a bag-dragger to a couple) lets puts this in a Firearms Related example using a RUSSIAN theme..... Senator FSNLC - "Now, again, I'm asking and it is obviously extremely serious, did you buy from Cope's Distributing RUSSIAN AK-74 plum Izhevsk-made magazines?" DMark - "Senator FSNLC, I'm not aware that Cope's Distributing ever listed RUSSIAN AK-74 plum Izhevsk-made mags for sale, and I'm unable to comment on it." And my statement to Senator would be truthful and correct because Copes listed these magazines as Bulgarian. Bulgarians never made Plum polyamide (nylon) parts at all, they were all Soviet produced and later sold to Bulgaria. The Bulgarians painted them black and exported them to the USA. But I will admit if I was asked "DMark did you buy those AK-74 mags that Cope's listed as Bulgarian for the purpose of stripping off the paint to see if they were sanitized RUSSIAN mags......" My answer would have to be, "Well HELL YEA!"
  10. Robert must be in Dickson because its now SNOWING in the AM!
  11. Don't tell CNN, MSNBC, and the Never-Trumpers....... But some of us have even been known to wear Russian watches! Vostok Amphibian 916 with IDF insert
  12. I've been surrounded by a lot of Russians...., even had these serious looking fellows in black trench coats shadowing me. BUT...., I cannot recall ever meeting with the Russia Ambassador. However I did go to Moscow to brief the U.S. Ambassador to Russia.
  13. When I had my Delta Elite at the Custom Shop a few years back, Brent called and asked me if it would be OK if they added the live-round cutout to my ejection port work. He had found that it really helped when doing the "unload and show clear" drill. I told him, "Sure..., just add it to the total." Brent replied, "No charge - - - Just figured it was something you would want since it would go well with all of the other mods you are doing to the gun." Not only was he great with Customer Service, Brent was a true ambassador for the Colt name.
  14. Well Matt, I hit the "Like" button for your AR10. What I won't like is when you're kicking my ass with those match grade loads!
  15. WHAT??????? You mean the Right Arm of the Free World has been retired?
  16. 60 to 90 yards works for me. Matt's 200 yard idea....., heck that is indirect fire using slugs. We would need a forward observer to adjust our rounds!
  17. Yup, Going Heavy for this match.
  18. Hey El Guapo......, What range will the slug shots be?
  19. From the most memorable Corvette that I ever owned. The magnificent LT5 engine of the ZR-1.
  20. Maynard James Keenan and a Winchester. Forgot how much I liked this song.
  21. Here is the only picture that I have of my newest .38 Super. Master Gunsmith Sam Hoster has it right now - - - he is doing a retro style build for me on this one.
  22. Not talking about gaming the classifier....., just asking if anybody had figured out an efficient way to pre-load mags for the new classifier. For more years than I care to admit shooting and SOing the old classifier we used to pre-load our mags to help speed up the strings. As an example, for the old Stage 1 we would load MAG#1 to 9 rounds, MAG #2 to 12 rounds and MAG#3 to 9 rounds. This allowed folks with only 3 mags to shoot the entire stage without having to upload/download. Those old mag loads are now all obsolete with the new classifier. I was asking if anybody had come up with another smart way to pre-load mags. Perhaps the TAP guys have figured out something since they have run the new classifier. UPDATE - Came up with a mag load per stage plan. The math stuff is HARD!!!!!
  23. Anybody come up with an example of how to load your mags for the new classifier? Seems to be mostly a down load to six...., just wondering if there are any mag load tricks like we use to do for the old classifier to speed up the strings.
  24. Because we really know that .38 Super is the best........
  25. Damn It! I'm going to miss all this .30 Caliber Greatest. She Who Must Be Obeyed - the Delightful & Wonderful Mrs. Kari (U.S. Army Wife - Ret.) is having a Super Bowl party and I'm told my place of duty will be working the grill all afternoon.
