Yup...., Just Happy I had my Mosin obsession back in the late 90s!

Found a couple of 1960s era Borg-Warner produced USGI M14 mags for a good price.  :up:   BUT - - - When in the Heck did Mosin Nagants become $200 rifles?!?!?!?!!???????  :dropjaw:  

  I was having the same issue.    What I figured out was when I went to post and clicked on the reply box, the cursor was already positioned over the toolbar as it appeared and de-actived the BBCode Mode switch in the far upper left corner of the toolbar.   Just click on the "switch" and you should get the complete toolbar "out of the gray" and back to full function.

  The MAJOR uprising will be in all of those Del Webb retirement communities across the South.    You know the ones.  Its the folks with the old, rusty Michigan front plates still on their cars, hogging all of the handicap parking spots at WalMart, and always telling us southern hicks how they did it up North.  :ugh:

  Never a waste of time to view pics of a classic Colt 1911.  :cool:     Its a Government Model 1911 Commercial with a 1922 build serial number.  Colt made about 5000 Commercial models that year.     JMHO, but since it was your Great Grandfather's - - -  I would find a way to NOT sell that pistol. 

Patrick has done a couple of grips for me. I always ask him for little to no bark. Here is some of his work on my S&W 38-44 Heavy Duty. I actually have a set of 1911 panels that he did for me with vintage Colt medallions that I will someday built a custom retro 1911 around.

I lusted hard, and I mean HARD, over this Ted Yost Commander in 38 Super. When it went to auction in 2011 I jumped into the bidding war over it (91 bids). It was as close as I ever got to having a gambling addiction. Once the price went pass the $4000, I knew that the Delightful and Wonderful Mrs. Kari (She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed) would lose all pretense of tolerance over my accumulation of 1911s. I dropped out of the auction. It went for $4820. Many will say it that was well bought at that price. I wake up at night still thinking that it could have been mine. Maybe I need mental therapy to overcome this crushing sense of lost.......

Well for me, having a 1SG or CSM around meant I was in command.   Sort of like there are two types of general officers - - - those with bands and those who want bands (only commanding generals have bands). 

Best/favorite job I have ever had?    - Anytime I had a 1SG or CSM working with me!  :tough:     Job which I loathed the most?    - Army Staff, The Pentagon.  :yuck:
