Well we know it isn't your shooting skills....., I can vouch for that. I'm also going to assume that your WOA barrel is 1:11 with the SPEC II chamber. Start with the simple stuff. Scope and mount good and tight. Use a rest instead of the bipod. And try pulling the muzzle device and see what happens.

Well the rain held off for us. I reckon Robert having all those clear bags to cover the target made for some good karma. Good Squad, Good Stages.

250? With a scoped rifle and I don't have to shoot it standing? I'm all for that! DMark @ the 600 yard line. Sorry I wasn't able to attend this month's 3Gun. Had some family travel going on.

Went from my Government Model 1911s to a Lightweight Commander. S&W Model 37 Airweight stays as my BUG.

Music City Tactical Shooters--IDPA Match May Third
DMark replied to Mechanic_X's topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
Another one of those rules that I have been recommending a change for many years. I know its going to "kill some kittens" saying this...., but there should be the option to have at least one stage per match that allows more non-threats than threats since that would be a far more realistic (I said it, let the infant felids die) scenario that most civilians will face. -
Music City Tactical Shooters--IDPA Match May Third
DMark replied to Mechanic_X's topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
Was it a non-threat to threat ratio issue? -
NICE! One of the good thing about shooting with a suppressor is that you can easily hear if you hit the steel plates or not.

Anybody familier with GCP 1A Ground Commanders IR Pointer?
DMark replied to TerryW's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I know them well - - - handheld infrared (IR) pointer and illuminator. Visible only to those wearing night vision devices. Not Cheap. I seem to recall that they had that "RESTRICTED U.S. GOVERNMENT" statement on them. -
28th or the 29th?

Demo's Chicken & Rice Soap for The WIN!!!!!!!!! :woohoo: Getting back on Topic...... Very, Very Nice Paint on that AR.

Well Done musicman....., Well Done! Good example of how buying cheap and stacking deep pays off. I predict that after the fall elections, and regardless of its consequence, Barry Hussein will find yet another reason to come after us and you'll double your investment.

I do the same thing. I also use it to inventory a new LPK to make sure that everything is there.
-
Yup! And don't forget - - - I offer Free Instruction on the "Greatest Battle Implement Ever Devised....." Only requirement is, meet me at the Gallatin Gun Club during the weekday and bring your own ammo.

Lots of new shooters today. That is always a good thing! But I have Never, Ever, seen so many brand spanking new Springfield XDs come to the line. I kept thinking that at any moment, The Great One himself - Rob Leatham - would pop up and we'd be right in the middle of a Springfield Armory commercial.

Disappointed in Midway USA ammo P&H costs
DMark replied to Vistar's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I'm not wild about that Sure Post deal that Midway is now using. Seems to add 2 to 3 days to every order. My order gets to Tennessee in 2 days and then spends another 2 to 3 days as it is transferred between UPS and the USPS. Use to be I could place an order on Sunday night and the Big Brown Truck would be dropping off my stuff mid-day Tuesday. And dropping the dealer discount for daily email spam deals is sort of used car sales tactics to me. Brownells gets most of my money now. -
Not so Fast My Young Jedi...... In the Future you too will have the Gray Bread and from those days on Jump Status your body will feel and be haunted by the Five Points of Contact of the PLF. :ugh:

I vote flat-footed....... ......, only because the phrase, "Can't walk & crew gum at the same time" applies to most of us when loading a shotgun on the move! :panic:

Woo-Hoo!!!!!!!!!! I Won Heavy Metal Iron Sights! :woohoo: Ugh...., Wait...., Ugghh....., Hold on There Just a minute..... :stunned: I was the only one shooting Heavy Metal Iron Sights. All joking aside, MTSC puts on one heck of a 3Gun match. Almost six hours of running & gunning - - - you sure get your money's worth making the trip to Manchester. However, I would recommend those of us with gray in our breads to double up on our arthritis medications. el guapo, thanks for running the match.

That is good advice.

Here is a pic from last fall. You'll be OK to order 5 months from now. Don't forget to order some M2 ball to feed it!

Also haven't seen a refund in several years. I always send my "Redistribution of our Wealth" payment to the IRS on April 1st - - - Fools Day. Its sort of a sick joke on myself. :puke:

Breaking news...Ft Hood Shooter..again
DMark replied to Raoul's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
It wasn't all that long ago that Staff Duty Officers & NCOs along with the Officers of the Day were always armed on Army Posts. I did my last armed duty as the Field Grade Officer of the Day in the early 90s at Bragg. Fast forward to post 9-11 and all the talk was about hiring rental cops to secure the post I was on. I was confused. When I suggested to the CG that we arm all senior NCOs and Commanders - - - the look of shock on the faces of the JAG and the Provost Marshal told me that my Army was no longer one that I recognized. The Army didn't trust us anymore...... -
Yea I now need them also....., but there is something "That Ain't Right" about having a red-dot on a Pump Shotgun! 173rdABN and I spent yesterday at the range verifying our zeros. My old "Pre-Wilson Combat Sellout Scattergun Technologies" 870 will still put a slug Center-of-Chest at 100 yards. :pleased: But when did the sight radius change on my FAL? That front post is all fuzzy and gray now! :ugh: However, 173rdABN can confirm that my FAL still has very strong brass extraction and ejection!!!!!
