  1. Sure they do...., that is one of the neat things about a Dissipator - - - they have a rifle length sight radius. And a fiber optic front sight doesn't hurt either!
  2. Think I'm going to shoot Iron Sights with my Dissy AR this time.  :tough:
  3. It might be a good idea to replace all of the springs throughout the firearm.
  4. Great patina and nice Military Acceptance stamps on the frame and slide.  The numbers above the one of the frame is the WaffenAmts that identifies the inspector.  There should be a couple more in other places of the firearm.   My guess is that the jams/stovepipes that you are having could be a weak recoil spring and/or weak mag springs.  Also these HPs seem to dislike light 115g loads.
  5.   At the point were an attempt was made to take the officer's sidearm, a deadly threat situation against the officer had taken place.   A taser is used to gain compliance - - - not to defend an officer from dealth.
  6. 21 feet and the Tueller Drill.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwHYRBNc9r8
  7. Rickey,   So MTSC in Manchester is back to being an IDPA club?    Mark
  8. Did anybody take note that this BCG is for a slick-side upper?   No cuts for a forward assist.
  9. Could it be that the monkeys at Century Arms are now making BCGs? :ugh:
  10. Here are the Blurry pictures of the BCG that were posted on AKForum.net He provides no other details! HOWEVER........ Appears from the photos that he doesn't live with his GF (note the toilet seat).
  11. Was this one of PSA's "PTAC" BCG?
  12. Just be glad that the guy was trying to me helpful with some un-wanted advice.....   ..... and not trying to sneak up and take your firearm from you!
  13.   Well that was one of his claims....., sort of like him saying that he was such a great shooter that he didn't need a good trigger.  :ugh:
  14. Seem that as of late all he wanted to do was throw a frag grenade into whatever thread he posted to. Many of his post were beyond arrogant. Most of his post were condescending. Agree it was to time for ab28 to be told ......
  15. After much thought, deep contemplation and careful consideration ...., I have come to a distinct and pronounced decision.   I am finally going to shoot my 80s vintage Colt Custom Shop Delta Elite in an IDPA match!   :bat:   Wonder how far back into the ammo bunker I'm going to have to go to find enough 10mm?   I had also better double-up on the pain & arthritis medications starting now!
  16. I can attest to the effectiveness of the suppressor on 173ABN's AI.    This week at the range it sounded like he was dry-firing while shooting sub-sonic loads.  All you heard was the click of the firing pin going forward.  If it wasn't for the sound of the impact on the 300 yard steel plate, you would never know that a bullet had gone down range.   Even with standard loads, the sound was just a low "pop."   Impressive!
  17. Its just like the Clinton purges from the mid-late 90s.    Back then it was to "right-sized" the Army for the "peace dividend" that was suppose to pay down the national debt.  We know how well that money was spent!
  18. As much as I love the Old Muscle, you can't deny that today's performance cars are leaps and bounds ahead of that great era of the 60s and early 70s.   Example - - - The new 2015 Mustang GT's 5.0-liter (302 c.i.) engine produces 435hp and 400 lb-ft of torque while getting a combined 20+mpg.   AND you don't have to adjust any solid lifters, clean & re-gap the plugs, or set the points before every weekend!
  19. Carry - M&P Shield   Competition - M&P 9Pro (with Apex Tactical Trigger kit and Reset Assist Mechanism).   https://apextactical.com/store/product-list.php?pg1-cid11.html
  20. The LS3 is gone. I finally grew up and now have a four-door I sold my 2002 ZO6 to finally get a ZR-1. It was the most memorable Corvette that I ever owned!
  21. I've had a few and they came with these engine codes......   L76,L79,L36,L82,L98,LT5,LT1,LS1,LS6,LS3
  22. If you have never taken any methods of instruction course, the NRA's instructor course is a very good base to start from.   I have a couple of instructor/coach certifications from the NRA.  To be honest, some of the techniques they present are a bit dated - - - but that doesn't mean that you can't learn something from their training.    Agree with chances R, its beneficial because its a proven product.  To a new shooter a NRA instructor does have the legitimacy that many look for when wishing to learn about firearms.
  23. HOLY SH*T! When did I lose all of my HAIR!!!!!!!! We are blessed as a nation to have such men. Thanks for the invite to attend 173rdABN. Good to see so many fellow TGOers there.
  24. I have carried a bobbed hammer Model 37 Airweight as my BUG for longer than I can recall (Starting to get those senior moments). So I understand your "pain." A light J Frame requires that you get the web of the hand as high up on the backstrap as possible to manage the recoil. Its one of the reason I carry a Model 37 and not a 442 or 642. With the 37 my grip is so high that the web of my hand rolls over the top of the backstrap (thus the reason for the bobbed hammer). The higher backstrap of the 442 or 642 won't allow that and I have found those J Frames to be beyond snappy As the delightful Alicia Keyes is about to find out......
