  1. You'll find 3Gun in Manchester, Dickson, Pelham, among a couple of other locations.   Here are some links that discuss 3-Gun near you.   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/83592-3-gun-at-middle-tn-shooters-12-7-14/   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/83915-tennessee-to-hold-competitive-3-gun-series-in-2015/   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/83575-3-gun-match-at-elk-river-gun-clubpelham-tndec-6th/   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/83351-3gun-music-city-tactical-shooters/
  2. The weather is looking "Super" for mid December! That gives me a "Super" idea.......
  3.   Well what-do-you-know...., timing is everything!   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/84024-sig-238-wnight-sites-and-custom-grips/
  4. Once the stock is all good-to-go...., do yourself a favor before shooting it and get this gas system adjustment tool from Black River Gunsmithing. http://www.blackrivergunsmithing.com/toolsandaccessories.html I wasted a lot of time and ammo back when I got my SVT-40 wondering why it wouldn't cycle. The gas regulator has to be adjusted and this tool is the only thing in the world that seems to be the correct odd-ball size that the commie system came up with. Also, most of the gas regulators will have some pitting as the results of corrosive ammo. If the regulator won't turn easy, drop some Kroil around it and let it soak overnight.
  5. OK, I can see where that would protect SAMCRO after Jax was gone.   But WOW...., Happy really did take one for the Team (MC).
  6. Why did Chibs shoot Happy in the arm?
  7. Looking at the data, its clear to me that the time to buy stock in firearm manufacturers is when the DEMs have the White House!
  8.   To Hell You Say!!!!!   Dang thing had the speed of an Olympic Class Sprinter!  :panic:
  9. I have a nice set of Elk Bone grip panels. Reckon I should build another Colt 1911 around them. But in .38 Super. I have this idea for a Retro Custom like this one gunsmithed by John Harrison.
  10.   Yea I just about came out of my chair thinking, "HOLY SH*T...., That is Vic Mackey - - - HE is Mr. Mayhem!"
  11. Hey Matt in TN!   Not sure if I'll be able to make it this Sunday just yet.  If I do, I'll let you get a few more round out of Big Evil.   I installed a SSA trigger in my PA-10 with the Geissele approved mod and it is Sweet!  :woohoo:
  12.    I was thinking that the final episode would have Jax ready to kill Gem...., but being unable to press the trigger he would turn the gun on myself.  Then Gem would pickup the gun (Clay's old 1911) and take herself out.    Chibs becomes President, gets the gavel and back to gun running with the IRA!  Everything back to the way it was in episode 1.
  13.   No Way.  You Keep What You Kill.    Gemma was the real power within the MC.  By "letting" Jax kill her, she fixed a lot of problems for SAMCRO and made him the Biggest-Bad-Guy of All (He KILL His Mom!!!!!!).   Too bad Unser was at the wrong place at the wrong time.
  14. Excellent match.    Well designed stages that forced the shooter to work the angles for correct cover.    I also liked the long shots.
  15. Its meant to be used while conducting a door breach.
  16. I mount my Aimpoints as close to my eye as I can.   Folks confuse Field of View with Field of Regard.    The closer the optic is to your "aiming" eye, the more targets can be presented directly within the view of the optic (Field of Regard) and the faster you can transition to follow on engagements.  Your other "non-aiming" eye is still open and helps to complete the total Field of View.   It took me a while to understand this because early on we in the military were running our optics far forward on our uppers.  I realized it was because we didn't trust all these new red-dots (especially early EOTechs) and we always had our BUIS in the up position because we just knew that red-dot would shutoff at the worst possible moment.  This forced the optic forward to clear the BUIS - - - and that became just the way we did it.   Here is an great paper on concept of mounting the optic toward the rear.  FIGHTING THROUGH THE RING By Erik Lund    https://www.yumpu.com/en/document/view/14815956/fighting20through20the20ring20by20erik20lund

  18.   1.  What type of competition shooting are you interested in?   2.  What firearm(s) and gear do you have?   3.  Any previous training?
  19.   I didn't use a Dremel on my Geissele trigger!
  20.   You know......, even just thinking about using the words "Dremmel" and "Geissele" together in a sentence sort of creeps me out.   :ugh:     I used a standard bastard-cut file to get the rough shape and then finished with an india stone.   When doing the file work, I did do a couple of test fits to make sure that I was only taking the minimal amount of material off the back of the hammer.  It really only took six or seven passes with the file to get the right about of metal off.
  21. Some material has to be taken off from the back of the hammer. This will allow the BCG to come all the way back without locking up on the hammer as it cocks. Its an issue that many trigger makers have with ARs in 308 regardless of the manufacturer.
  22. Well Here It Is........ The "Correct" H Buffer and the 27 Coils Spring that PSA sent to me as a replacement. The beating that my PA10 took with the short buffer is showed in post # 18 of this thread. The new 27 coil spring is much stronger than the spring that came with my kit (which I think was a standard carbine spring). The BCG now goes forward into battery with some real authority, much like any normal AR based firearm. Today at the range I put over 100 rounds of M80 ball ammo through the gun. Slow Fire, Controlled Pairs, Rapid Strings of 3-6 shots and the weapon ran without any issues. Extraction was very positive and the cases were ejected to the 3-4 o'clock position 8 to 10 feet away from the weapon. Before heading to the range I used a Sharpie to blacken the areas of the bolt and buffer tube than had shown contact as a result of the short buffer. Happy to report that there was no evidence of any impact of the BCG on the buffer tube using the H Buffer and the 27 coil spring. OH - - - and the Geissele fix for the SSA trigger in the PA10 also works! :woohoo: Happy, Happy...., Joy, Joy!
  23. Jcoop,   I thought you knew me better.........
