Since he was pouring his own bullets from his homemade molds, he could have made them chamber by shortening the case ever so slightly and making them conical with the stepped out base equal to the case diameter . I would think you’d get a result similar to what we saw . I’m certainly no expert.

I’m sure if they had been used in the commission of another felony , he would have gotten some. They’ve been negotiating his plea deal for two years. The amount of money this has cost him... prolly everything he had plus some (his wife had already wiped him out ). Add that to damn near a half year of Slave labor... This was a hard hit.

I guess he could have made the bullets ,themselves, too large with nowhere to go.

So I just got my Shield 2.0 in 9mm and immediately compared it to my 3rd generation G27 (my edc for the best part of the last 15 years). All I can say is “WOW!!! Why didn’t I get one of these years ago ?” I had one of the original full sized M&P’s in .40 . I hated the trigger vs the Glock and got rid of it mostly due to this reason. I can truly say there is almost no difference in the trigger in my new shield 2.0 vs the Glock (my understanding is this was one of the upgrades in the 2.0). The feel , the pull , the reset are nearly identical (im sure I could nitpick it with a gauge but I don’t usually carry a gauge into a defensive situation). Now for the wow part... on paper they are nearly identical in weight and size specs but this is far from the real world . The shield feels so much more comfortable and light compared to the Glock . It’s a quarter of an inch shorter at the barrel and a quarter inch shorter at the grip but the width..... damn . Again , on paper it looks negligible but once holstered (as you can see in the pics) it’s damn near a half inch narrower and feels so good inside my waistband . As for weight unloaded not a huge difference but loaded a little over a 1/4 pound difference (that’s nothing to sneeze at ). I put the shield on to of the g27 so you could see all the places it saves on size. I can’t wait to take her to the range . I’m almost a little too excited .

We were talking about cute little birds. Now I’m thinking about all the money I gave to the government. I’m definitely going to have to start drinking now.

I’m waiting on a shield 2.0 , as we speak . Hopefully same kinda luck as you.

I love watching those mean little bastards. If they weren’t so tiny and pretty , we’d hate ‘em.

A friend of mine got to handle one . He said it’s got a strange feel holding it . Kinda like holding a broomstick is what he said because the grip is so small and thin .

Keyholing is one of those things that’s a real booger to diagnose and correct. A buddy of mine had a Springfield 1911 that keyholed. 3 trips back to the factory and it never did get corrected. He finally just sold it.

Before I get corrected , the slide . Lol

Non-Permissive Environments and Improvised Weapons

Will cans of whoop ass pass through a metal detector and if so, will it be conviscated ? -
If I’m correct , it’s because the sights were removing themselves from the barrel .

The very first weapon i ever bought was an SP 101. They were retailing for $300 back then. I had no idea that they had gone up so much. It was a very good little pistol.

It reacts with plastic, including its own cap. Was going through a bunch of stuff and came across one bin of some cleaning supplies I don’t use often . My bottle of 209 cleaning solvent had turned over . The stuff ate through its cap spilling all over the bin. It actually welded some of the other bottles to the bottom of the bin. The only real loss was 2 pmags it ruined (no idea why I had them in that box ). The rest was stuff I was gonna toss anyway . I’m just glad there was nothing of real value there.

Non-Permissive Environments and Improvised Weapons

In all seriousness, it seems like the best tactics involve getting yourself out of that environment as soon as possible, assuming there’s an armed perpetrator and you are unarmed. So I’d like to hear more about escape tactics vs entering into the fight. -

Somebody needs to work with these kids on their technique. Maybe R. Lee Ermey could get them into battle shape. -

A Viking shield wall might be effective with them . Other than that , prolly of little use. -
Question on brandishing and TN law

Another thing is you just told them “I have guns in my house . Please break in when I’m not at home.” -
Last time I had to go to the dmv , they took my pic and the face recognition software said I wasn’t me (had grown my hair out , added a beard and glasses ). It was kind of a mess, tbh . Sure am glad my fingerprints hadn’t changed or I would’ve been screwed . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
