  1. Looks like Atlas Shrugged is quite popular right now. I'm actually re-reading it. It means a whole lot more now than when I was 20. The last book, not mentioned , that I read was Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. It was great.
  2. Which SWAT team uses a .22 rifle?

    POS. nuff said.
  4. Shockingly, I actually was very reluctant to use this barrel. I really only bought it so I could reload, not for accuracy. I actually thought I would maybe have some problems with it because "hand cycling" didn't feel very good. However, it never missed a beat when firing actual ammo. So, in synopsis, psychology didn't help me even a little bit. If anything, it maybe hindered even better performance.
  5. Installed my Storm Lake barrel in my Glock 27 today and went to the range. After the first round, I knew I had a problem. This damned barrel made my G27 shoot better than it was ever designed to shoot. I couldn't believe it, round after round kept going exactly where I wanted them to and I couldn't make it jam for the life of me. 200 rounds of WWB and 1 box of Speer Gold Dot later, I had to quit. I was scared someone would sneak up behind me and think I could shoot. Seriously, I've never claimed to be a good shot, because I'm not. When I can make 20 round groupings into 5 inches with a Glock 27 at 30 feet (10 yrds), I'm impressed (I couldn't do that at 5yrds with the factory barrel). I think I'll keep this barrel on the gun because it's a winner. Also, shot my CZ SP-01 Phantom for the first time, today. It's also a winner, but either it doesn't like my preferred 9mm load (Cor Bon 115gr) or I'm anticipating that kick a little too much because I was making 6 inch groups at 25yrds with WWB but when I changed over to the Cor Bon, I only hit my target (6 inch circle) 6 out of 20 shots at the same distance. No jams noted. Think I can safely carry now after 250 rounds without a hiccup but I may need to rethink my preferred load. Did I mention that my arms are sore now?
  6. Ultimately, I guess they do since the processors set the prices and the quotas.
  7. Sig and Edgar Hanson own the Northwestern Andy and Johnathon own the Time Bandit Kieth Colburn owns the Wizard by himself Phil Harris and Cornelia Marie Collins (hence the name) own the Cornelia Marie as a partnership. As far as the strike goes, I think that may have either been when they were all deck hands or it could have been against the "processors" who set up the prices.
  8. Do either of the kids have a captains license? Also, do the crab quotas pass along from generation to generation, or do they have to get in line for a quota?
  9. That is correct sir. Although smoking, obesity and a generally sedentary lifestyle are bigger factors (Capt. Phil had all of these going against him). Rigorous exercize actually raises blood pressure also, however by continuing on a rigorous exercize routine, the body learns to cope, over time, and it will actually reduce blood pressure, ultimately. I'm merely talking about the immediacy of the stroke in connection to finding his son taking drugs.
  10. Contrary to poular belief, stress does not cause strokes or brain bleeds. No amount of psychological stress can cause an artery to block or become weakened. Bad lifestyle choices can do both. Same with heart attacks. If this didn't happen when it did, it was going to happen anyway. The son on drugs was merely a coincidence. But we as humans always try to make connections when none exist such as the Greks seeing their "gods" in the stars.
  11. They said they had a "special" 2 hour episode, but only showed a regular 1 hour job. What gives? I didn't figure "After the Catch" counted as part of the 2 hours since they do that every week.
  12. I'd give all my extras to me, if I was you:D.
  13. My "pocket gun" is a S&W MP340. 13.3 oz is the lightest snub I know of other than the 340PD (but can not be fired with less than 125gr .357's) and capable if .357 mag, but I wouldn't suggest it. However, they tend to be rather pricey if cost is a factor.
  14. Why would a German pistol have a uniquely American phrase on it? Smith and Wesson wouldn't have made a pistol with a swastika on it.
  15. Mostly with the Mrs. Maybe I can stay out of the dog house for a little while.
  16. Changed to pressure regulator valve on my plumbing system, painted my den now about to read and go to bed.
  17. Yes that's it. I've been have trouble with copying youtube lately. Not sure why but never had a prob until a month or so ago.
  18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFi_tQDqnyE&hl=en_US&fs=1"></param><param jimi on the 12 string "priceless"
  19. I have a coin good for "one free ride" at the Ace of Spades Cathouse Nashville, TN. On the back side it says "Blacks Only". It is from about 1880 and I think it's one of the coolest things ever. Thought about donating it to a history museum.
  20. Went to a different liquor store to buy it, if I'm lucky they didn't tail me. Otherwise, I'm screwed!!!!
  21. He stated that he did. And I noticed him speaking to the clerks when I entered. He may not have, though. He lied about being a LEO, could have been lying about that, too.
  22. yes, that's the one. I usually go to 31W, myself. However, they don't carry many "high gravity" beers. From now on, I'll go to Bluegrass in Hendersonville.
  23. BBQ, loud music, family and Flying Dog "Raging Bitch" beer.
  24. I thought about it but figured I'd call on Tuesday. I figure they have enough to do on a holiday weekend than deal with one more idiot who's more of a nuisance than a danger (except to himself).
  25. I tried but all I got was a blank photo. Very scary.
