  1. I have several thoughts on this. 1) I have bought gold and silver and pre 65 coins.......... no one is really going to sell in bulk to you so the gold and silver if they make change is going to be worthless bills. And to most people that dime is still a dime even if it is real silver content. 2) Never trade something that can be used against you. They figure you have more and will come and take it now that they have ammo. It comes down to trust and in a real SHTF civil unrest event you cant really trust anyone outside of those you trust with your life today.
  2. I hear they have really nice ranges and classrooms and such. If it is something you could afford I say go for it. But it is the infomercial of Personal Defense. I am just glad he didn't buy TV time with Billy Mays or the Wow Sham guy.
  3. The fact that is generates revue for the state don't hurt either. I have always been of the beleive that if you did something to show up on a IBC that they would pulled your permit at the time of the incident.
  4. Somewhere it needs a "Do you feel lucky punk? Well do ya?" I love the Dark Tower for many many reasons but any story written about a cowboy and your thinking Eastwood is good enough for me. Lee Van Cliff is the man in black in my mind too.
  5. Did you at any time have the thought "Man I could just throw these at the target and still pass"? In my class we had an older very sweet granny like lady who passed the class. Looked like she was shooting a 12 gauge. When the teacher said you just have to hit the target that is all she did.
  6. Flo called it "her purse" on the Progressive insurance add and the man calls it "A leather European shoulder bag". On prepper site its is "Manly Adventure Bag".
  7. I think the term is snob. Prejudice would mean you only carry a handgun or you dont carry a handgun but a rifle or shotgun.
  8. We have talked about the everyone carrying. We don't want everyone shooting at one guy but then there is a limit on the number of legally armed people in the church. Funny thing is all that I have thought about and we have talked about in this thread, the pastor has a notebook full of stuff he has thought about. He just hasn't had anyone willing to help him. But he has more help now with stuff than he thought he would get.
  9. Just wanted to give an update to the people who have PMed me. We are still in the working stages of the finical matters which will allow professional help in this area but be assured that your companies are getting serious thought.
  10. Sorry I haven't gotten back to posting on this. Got a bit tied up. Thank you for the responses and we will be giving Ben a call in the very near future. ICT has been on my heart for this, for many reasons. Arko thanks for the head up on the Bradley County Sheriff. There might be a way to get some help there since our headquarters is located in Cleveland.
  11. You probably are thinking of Kentucky. They are not allowed to carry to church.
  12. Does anyone know of a trainer or group in Tennessee who has worked with churches on security arrangements? Something along the lines of verbally solving the problem and if that doesn't work move on to Mace or a Stun Gun. 99% of event will not require a firearm but we have a few people with or in the process of getting their carry permit. But those still need training in when to use it.
  13. Getting a used G19 is kinda like going to a whore house to find a wife....... just pony up for a new one...... It is sooo worth it.
  14. I passed on one back in the early 90s for a Glock 17 that turned out to be a lemon. I wish a million times I had gotten the Jericho. It had both barrels and mags for the 9mm and 41 AE.
  15. So if they could they would screw over the general public? They been talking to H&K or something? Last time I checked Servicemen and women got issued ammo and most Cops get issued ammo too. Sounds to me like they want to thump their chest and give a discount only to certain people when all of America has suffered.
  16. Well they let you start the renewal process 6 months before your expiration date........... guess they know how long it takes dont they.
  17. Kimber all the way. The TLE is about the best they make in a "normal' price range and Mine shoots great.
  18. The product of too much Mt Dew and a bad naming scheme one night.
  19. I think they are made that way to work with an extended mag well. You can look on the Wilson site for pics that might help you.
  20. Might be able to find them else where. The guy was looking for velco backed patches.
  21. A thread on another site asked for a patch with Velcro of his state patch and they are found here Camotech Embroidery:State Flag Patches. I thought it might be useful for some here.
  22. I know you have to get them a copy of your Birth Certificate now since I had to pay twice and make 4 trips to the center to figure out why my mailed in renewal didn't go through last year. Which was something they added in the last 4 to 5 years since I didn't have to have it the 1st time I renewed.

    PMags Questions

Windowless..........it makes a great little place to write your name and mag number.
  24. A $35 weapon light (Surefire G2, P6, ect) would be fine too.
  25. Have you seen the father's eye if the girl? I think if they let him he would save the state a lot of money.
