That's what I understood too so I just wanted to make sure before I got too far along into this. I have a Winchester 92 or 94 can't remember right now off hand and I wanted to fix me some good loads I could use in all 3 guns. All I got right now is a couple boxes of Cowboy Action loads.

I have a set of old style/ big frame Ruger Vaqueros in 45 LC. The way I understand it is that these are made on the blackhawk frames. If this is true can you use the ruger only (hotter loads) data in the reloading books?

Anybody ever tried Cowboy Action shooting events?
Spiffy replied to AtomicRooster's topic in General Chat
I shot at ORSA once. It rained and ruined my packable felt hat and I had blisters on the bottom of my heels. So I didn't have a real good time outside of making gunsmoke :D. I looked into the clothing and got a shock. I think it's cheaper to setup for 3 gun than it is for Cowboy action shooting! Rifle is a grand and a good set of pistols is about that much. Then you get into the gun leather and that's $500 + for a nice setup. Then again if my trapper size 45 colt held 1 more round and I'd send my shotgun off to get polished and worked over and I'd get a new cartridge belt that matched my duel rig I'd be in business. Effect of ammo on reliability in 9mm semi-autos
Spiffy replied to tightshot's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
To add to Perky's post, a guy at a pistol match used to use PCM ammo in a Glock 26 it wouldn't knock down steel. I've seen more issues with new shooters and small guns than with full size guns. I know that I've had issues out of a glock and a M&P if I used 147s and 124s that were below 121 pf even with a lighter recoil spring. -
Depends on what you want to use it for and your eyes. As I get older it gets harder and harder to see what I can hit with a red dot only at distance. A 1-6ish scope cover 99% of what you'd need an AR or AK to do.

Have you already lost that new vest? This is why I don't give you patches! -
It's bigger than what Dawson uses but I can't think of it off the top of my head. I get mine from Shooters Connection when I order something and just add it to the cart.

My "best guess" is Aaron. Don't see him much this season then he shows up at the end. Yeah Red Shirt all the way. Maggie would have sent a better "message" and been a twist on the comic events. I really don't think it's Glen because they teased his death all season long. Can't be any of the girls because I'm sure a group of fighting men see the value of pretty girls. And there is no way it's Big D. They wouldn't want to take the rating hits that would cause unless this is the last season.

What if official policy forbid that? Would it worth losing your house and your families security to eat and live indoors?

I don't use Tula or Wolf primers because I always have 1 or 2 outta every hundred that go click. Even factory ammo has the 1 or 2 to 100 ratio.

Probably need to separate out what you are attributing to Christianity that is really Judaism. The laws in the old Testament about owning slaves and stoneing women, ect really don't apply to those living under the blood of Jesus.

Tom's good that's who we use. -
Is this for a CORE/MOS? On a milled slide the sealing plate is supposed to be the "fix".

AR Upper/Lower Receiver Vise Block Options
Spiffy replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
I got that Wheelers Delta kit when I bought AR tools. The lower block part broke before the castle nut broke loose. -
If you haven't already read it, there is a free copy of Suarez's Using Red Dot Pistols available as a PDF over at warriortalk. You've got a good looking gun and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I'm not a fan of the MOS because it's just 1 more layer of something to break over getting a slide milled. I'm fat so I can get away with a G34 EDC

The store in Lenoir City used to have all kinds of Win primers. It closed sadly. N320 is THE powder for 147 per the gun gamers. I use it but I use e3 too and soon to being using some vintage 231.

I have one of those All Loads 1 Caliber books for 40 S&W. It's the only thing I ever saw with a minor PF load for 40 with N320. It's dated I think but it's just reprints from all the manuals at that time. When I started back reloading everyone said just get the information online because bullet and powder maker publish it. Then use a chrono to work up loads from there. OF course this was all for pistol cartridges.

Useless threads are what makes the internet go round. If every thread was useful.........it wouldn't be a forum it would be a searchable database.

The April IDPA match will be a Classifier only match. Per the IDPA rulebook, Rule 9.8.1, you MUST be a Current IDPA member to shoot the classifier. You may join IDPA by going to www.idpa.com Registration is open at: https://practiscore.com/cleveland-tn-idpa-classifier-april-2016/register This match will run a little different than our normal IDPA matches; We will not have regular squads as usual. Instead, we will divide into 5 groups to begin, then after you shoot a stage, you may move on to another stage immediately, or at your leisure. The Classifier is a 90 round, limited match, divided into 3 - 30rd stages. The plan as of right now, (subject to change), is to have Stage 1 set up on Bays 2, 4, and 5. Stage 2 will be set up twice on Bay 1 to allow two shooters to shoot one right after the other before scoring both. And Stage 3 will be set up twice on Bay 3. We will have Safety Officers assigned to each stage to run everyone through, then the SO's will shoot after everyone else is done. We still need at least 4 more safety officers to help with the match. If you are certified Safety Officer and willing to help run this match and stay until everyone else has shot, please indicate so when you register. Hopefully this way, we will get everyone through fairly quickly.
