TSA has their rules and depending on the airline you fly, they have some things that they would like for you to comply with. Check the airline website, PRINT out the information on gun transport, and you should be set. Hunters, carry holders and collectors fly all the time with thier weapon, so your experiance will depend on the knowledge of the person checking you in. Print out the airline rules and you will be set. The only thing that sucks is that its not easy to find the link on some airline websites.

If your looking for basic knowledge to up your skills, then your not going to go wrong training there. Shawn is awesome like everyone says, and there are so many different weights, body types, and skill levels to train with that its really up to you to decide how hard/much you wanna take in. I've trained there eight years so far and it's been a blast. Also, if you've been there a while, and learned the basics, the stand-up guys get together early before class and work in striking drills. They welcome anyone that wants to learn. If you want, I'm there 4 days a week, we could meet up and I'll show you the place so you can get a feel of the gym.

My son is 8yrs old and can handle the Sig pretty good, but the trigger pull is a pain in the butt. We've shot both and even he says that the P22 feels like a toy, he's used to cleaning and helping me assemble my weapons so.... Maybe your friend can rent both at a range and really see what feels the best. Otherwise, it's like asking if Ford or Dodge trucks are better. {Everyone knows Dodge is best!}

I'm sure some of you guys already know this, but when people say WIFEY, sometimes it's the girlfriend and not necessarily a wife. Terms younger folks use, just pointing it out to people that are'nt hip to slang. Can someone explain "spinning a yarn to somebody" for me?

I have a P13-45, had to send it in once for FTF on various ammo. So far I've put 700+ rounds, and every three mags gets me at least 1 FTF still. Bought the gun brand new and was gonns EDC it. I bought my friends full size Para .45 before that and it is flawless. So, not sure about them yet. Service was good, but I had to pay for shipping..... Not cheap.

Proud of my lil girl while reloading
ncomarc replied to MudBugjr's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I've got two daughters and it's wierd what they end up wanting to get into. One likes fishing, the other would rather read. It's awesome when you get to discover what the're into, all you have to do is support and give them a hug. -
I really did'nt know what behind the scenes stuff went on here, economy wise - I'm not a benefactor, but just signed up. I think it's great that this site was posted up, local, and I've saved a little bit of $ when I bought a few guns here so hopefully it helps out. Not a bad idea though, but it's your ball.

They want you to register, I don't know if there is a way to buy tickets otherwise. I'll have to surf the website more when I'm off work, would really like to buy these tickets.

Would it be considered rude to ask if you may field strip before buying?
ncomarc replied to TnShooter83's topic in Handguns
I don't care if the seller wants to be the one to field strip it, as long as I can inspect the weapon and give it a once over. The ones I've bought here have met me at the Stones River range and let me shoot some rounds after we agreed on a price. Just give them the option of who strips it down. -
Welcome, his knowledge is a wesome to have.

Anyway to find out the hardware security will be using, just so you can research how to use them, just in case. Hopefully they do there job and you can enjoy yourself.........

I've been doing BJJ for 8 years, sometimes I let the MMA guys beat me up at the gym and a lot of running. For you guy's that want a goal, try Jailbreak Triathlon in Columbia. Canoeing, mountain biking, and running. You compete in pairs, theres 4 teams from my unit that will be participating. Also Muddy Buddy in May, fun for the whole family. Theres actually a lot of events that happen around our area. These events are cheap, and you meet a lot of cool people.

I'm with OhShoot, Keep what you got, and buy when you have the funds. Check out the Firearms Classified section, you might get a good deal with extras like a holster if your patient. mdlave sold me his SR9 and gave me the M-TAC shell for free. Real cool dude.

I'll be hunting with a .22 when the time comes. A lot of time I normally get lost watching the scenery and my buddy will get on me about all the squirl that were scurrying around me. I hunt for my in-laws, they know how to cook the hell out of them. I'm kinda wishing it was here already.

I hope the police is given more leway on handling this type of stuff. Antioch High School basketball season was messed up because of gang problems. Not the only school.

Talk to an agent. My buddy has renters insurance and you get to list the items you want covered. Make sure you get the replacement value. They have to replace you with another like item - no depriciation value crap......
-
Great info. Friend of mine sold me his when he needed cash, and been trying to buy it back since. One of the few guns that I consider a " Keeper".
-
Nice............ Those two are lucky to have friends that took the time to pull it off. Made my day. Nice........

I'll be checking on this as I'd like to get a 9mm pocket carry gun. I used to carry a G26 IWB, it's to bulky for pocket carry. A TGO member with a good #'s of handguns suggested the Kahr 9mm. I'm waiting till I hold/feel the ones listed and suggested. Get back with you if I stumble upon something.

Glad it all worked out, I have a G26 and this caught my attention quick.

Taking wife to the range for the first time.. tips?
ncomarc replied to TNTitan's topic in Women's Perspectives
When I took the wife shooting, her friend came along. I wasn't sure if it was a good idea at the time, but it turned out great. Talked safety with them, shot first, then they each had a turn. We used one lane, and I was able to supervise each one when they were shooting. They started getting comfortable and would remind each other of the safety and shooting basics. Just make sure the day is about her and leave when shes ready. I think the idea is to make sure she has a safe and good time. -
What holster is he using with his carry rig...
-
The attitude you get would depend on the LEO that stopped you. I get mixed answers at the gym I train at when talking to them. Should you inform - I have'nt heard of a negative thing because someone informed.
