  1. I think tattoo girl would be good for a girlfriend..........
  2. I'm waiting for the time I'll have time to properly own/take care of a dog. Had one - crappy story and always think of the day I'll be able to get another. I commend you on sticking with it and loving your best friend.
  3. Glock, good IWB, decent rounds. Too bulky as pocket carry for most. PM9, good pocket carry, good IWB. Limited rounds. All this with proper holster and they both shoot great. I practice 7yard point shooting and they both are on target. Good luck.

10/22 with a bi-pod was what my 2 daughters and son started with. If your talking about the Sig Mosquito, it has a good kick to it. I know the sight-an-see targets are awesome for immediate feedback.
  5. I think the range is for newer people to shooting and those that have had one or more "experience" with an unsafe act by other people. I don't like the attitude of a few RSO's, but I like the idea of safety they try to enforce. Hopefully I get a chance to try Owl Hollow and compare, but I have no issues taking my kids to Stones River.
  6. I've got the VM-2, a Monitaur Comptac, and Stellar Riggs. Is the VM-2 comfortable, YES. Would I buy another, only if I get another high priced weapon and wanted the assesories to match quality/price of said weapon. Maybe it's just me, but a nice 1911 deserves a nice all leather holster.....
  7. I'd be interested, my unit will probably be the last to get the cams, so I can always use replacements......
  8. If your looking for a holster for it, Stellar Riggs, like what OhShoot had pictured is what I ordered and it fits in the pocket fine plus it holds the extra magazine. When my wife carries it, I load the 147gr Rangers, she can handle the push verses snap recoil of lower grain SD ammo. Congrats.
  9. Good thoughts for the family...........
  10. I'm 5'5", 155lbs and for years I carried the G26 on my avatar with no issues. Should've bought a G19 since I have grip extenders on them but it was bought at a good deal. A good IWB holster should hide everything, unless you wear those trendy tight clothing. I hear ya on the practical part.
  11. There is a reason to buy the P238, pocket carry, my buddy has one and it disappears. Do you have to give up the G26? They each fill their role. I got lower back problems and can't carry IWB all the time, so I looked at a lot of pocket carry pistols and decided on a 9mm platform. Good luck.
  12. I ran the 100rnd WWB, 147gr Rangers, 115 Speer GD's, 124gr Speerr GD's and like the 147gr better. It seems to push the slide verses snap it back, allowing me to control it better.
  13. I would really stay away from Martial Arts in general as far as defense at home. Even people that have been training for years lose a lot of their speed/technique after a few months lay-off, let alone the amount of training to be profeccient. Knowing the lay-out of your house, and available materials to use as a weapon to help you get to your pistol would be the best bet. Plus you don't know if the BG did drugs. On the other hand, simple clinch/tie-ups to hold and maybe control the BG will let your hubbie get to a pistol and hope she's a good shot. A lot of these clinching moves are free on Youtube.....
  14. I just ordered a StellarRiggs for my Kahr PM9. I thinkk OhShoot is the one that had it pictured and I like the set-up. Also try the Meca holster.
  15. Nice.......
  16. I stay fit more for my family, not just being able to protect or SHTF, but I wanna see my kids graduate and vacation with them doing cool physical stuff (snorkeling, hiking, canoeing, whatever). I have seen too many people work hard, let their health go and save money, only to spend a majority of that money on medical stuff. I think its one of the best preventative maintenance for you and your families happiness. If they like you.........
  17. I bought a Walther P99 9mm and my buddy bought two Hi-Points in 9mm and I believe .40. I thought that he had wasted his money and that I would outshooting him at the range. Yeahhhh, I remember he had one FTE and we each shot our 200 WWB with no issues. Thats the one time I've shot one, hopefully you got as a reliable pistol. He still has one of them and leaves it in the truck, slight rusting but functions.

    mac 90

I've had mine since 98/99 maybe, and it has run flawlessly. I don't take care of it as I should, but it still runs............
  19. Where did you buy the two edge glued panel grade planks? I don't think I've seen them at Home Depot or Ace Hardware. Sweet looking set-up by the way.
  20. Thanks Punisher84 - you got the point acrosss better than me. No one really knows how they will react in an extreme situation, but I do feel that when inoocents are gravely in danger and I'am in the middle of the situation and if there is no alternative, then and only then will using deadly force be thought about. I have been in a store in a robbery and if the robber would have asked for my personal belonings, I would have no issue giving it to them. Luckily all they wanted was what was in the cash register.
  21. You guys got an awesome set-up. I'll be checking back on this when I save the cash to buy the rest of my necessities. Thanks for the ideas.
  22. Welcome.

    S&W M&P 15-22

I got one for my son when he got honor roll. It was his cool rifle and I always used my AMT-Lightning or 10-22. But I've been shooting the heck out of it lately. On another post here you can get the link to get cheap magazines. I use the cheap Wal-Mart .22's and no issues. Over 2000 rnds and still going strong. I normally wait a few years for bugs and such to be worked out but he wanted it and I'm glad I bought it.
  24. That is awesome.
  25. My mom told me she has health issues not from working so hard, full time job and her own bussiness, but from letting petty crap that people pull like that get in her head. I think her advise to you would be the same she would tell me. Keep proving your proud of your job and a hard worker. The garbage will be found out soon enough. I know it's hard to let it go, but don't stress yourself out brother.........
