  1. You'll love that mac! I've been using macs (at work) since System 7. Loath PeeCees. Ever since they went Unix they have been rock solid. My house has been "PC" free for about 6 years.
  2. I'd have to hold it. Not really sure what I think about it. Hmmmmmmm....
  3. molon'... Your a heck of a "wordsmith"! Awesome work!
  4. Here are some links I bumped up against... "Urban Crime Hits National Parks..." http://www.csmonitor.com/2006/0802/p02s01-ussc.html "Crime Rates Pickup in national Parks..." http://www.csmonitor.com/2005/0808/p03s01-ussc.html Seattle Times: "Crime Slowly slips into Parks and Forests..." http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2003305418_safetrails15m.html Washington Post : Chart of National Park Crime Stats... http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/graphic/2008/02/28/GR2008022800363.html
  5. Tn State Parks statistics for 2007 are here... http://www.tbi.state.tn.us/divisions/isd_csu_sac.htm I know your looking for federal... just found this one first.
  6. I have a few, but don't have many pictures. I had a gerber Evo Jr. that I carried. I carried it backpacking too. But I... lost it. Plan on getting the larger Gerber EVO to replace it. Here is a Hen & Rooster that my wife got me for our 15 yr. anniversary. I really like it.
  7. I have a Ruger Mark II and love it.

    Snake!!!!

    Yikes!!!
  9. I used to read everything I could in my mid-twenties on ballistics, gel tests, and tried to keep up with all the new calibers and such. Mainly when I was reloading. I was a fact junkie. Now that I am a little older I care less about that stuff. I am still interested in it mind you... but it is more of a passing fascination now. I think accuracy is the most important thing. Sure it's great to have a larger caliber to sort of compensate for firing under stress. With current bullet designs and top quality handguns being made... it seems that there are plenty of good choices for defensive rounds. As long as you can hit with them. +1 for "DMark's" comment about capacity. I loved my .45 and want another, but I would rather have more capacity for something I am planning to carry. (Just my opinion.)
  10. That was a really good read. A lot there to sit and think on.

    Can you see him

To quote Indy... "I hate Snakes."
  12. FYI... you have to be a member to view. (Unless I did something wrong... which can happen.)
  13. .357 sig When funds become available I'd like to add... .38 Special .45 acp (really miss having a .45)
  14. Happy Birthday! Awesome present!!
  15. Thanks guys! I have a lot going on right now and haven't had time to be on the TGO Boards much lately. I hope to call the forum up tonight and let him read some of the comments. he'll really get a kick out of it. He gave a 4-H speech this year on turkey hunting. Mainly so he could take his Ghillie to school again. (Last year his speech was on how to make a Ghillie and it's history.)
  16. Me too "memphis mason"!! Me too! I better hurry ad get on the stick or he'll start rubb'n it in! LOL!!
  17. Thanks! He went with a friend of mine and I stayed home. My wife asked if i regretted not being there... but he is getting to the age now that this really made him feel like a "big kid". You should have seen the smile on his face when I opened the front door. I have the tail feathers pined and drying out. I trimmed his 20 ga shell down to the brass and hot glued the little beard into it. Also drilled a small hole in the primer and ran a paper clip through it so he can hang it on his wall. Oh yeah... tasted good to!!
  18. Old camo hoodie... free Netting.... $4.95 Scraps of material from the scrap bin at wal-mart... $5.00 Couple of yards of fabric to cut up... about $10 Tube of Shoe glue.... $4.00 Your 11 year old son getting his first turkey in the Ghillie suit that he made (with very little help from me!).... PRICELESS!!! I just had to post these! I'm just such a proud Dad!
  19. Woke all of us up. Dog slept right through it.
  20. I always wanted to make a shirt with a bunch of monks in the five man entry position (stacked up like SWAT guys) with guns, in their robes, beads, and the words... "ARM TIBET" at the bottom. But that's just me.
  21. That has got to be one heck of a brush gun! Looks great! Can't you also shoot .45 LC in it as well? Or am I thinking wrong?
  22. Notice you also have a Peep Sight on there as well! Is the recoil pretty punishing with it cut down?
  23. Same as Molon... Marlin 1894 in .357 mag. I have a peep sight on mine though. Great fun to shoot.
