  1. I just never could find anyone to jam with so i started recording all the parts and jamming with myself
  2. Not really sure how I did that. I posted to Picasa and copied the link. I must have magic that I didn't know about. Yeah that room is perfect for recording anything. I have direct input for the guitars, bass, and keys and I run a full set of mics into a small mixer for the drums. I had to mess with it for a bit to keep the crash and ride from being muddy but I've got it dialed in now. I think the sounds bounce around more evenly instead of being stuck in the corners.
  3. I carry mine in my wallet in the clear spot but with a business card in between it and the DL.
  4. Good to have you. This place is a wealth of information and good peoples.
  5. Only time I've ever had trouble from old ammo is some ancient 303. Primer would pop and that was it. Wouldn't even unseat the bullet. It had cordite and just would not go bang. We pulled some apart and lit a few individual cordite strands with a lighter. It just smoldered. Usually that stuff burns like a firecracker fuse.
  6. Not sure what you mean by sideways but that's my fun room Full of guns, instruments, and books. It's a great place
  7. Anybody had any experience with these? I'm thinking about getting one to put on my subcompact PT145 when it's on the nightstand at night.
  8. Good deal on the permit! I just had a good talk with my Dad about him getting his.
  9. Just thought I post some of my new things that I'm pretty happy with. Just got the PT145 Pro today on a trade. Got the AR from SpartaTn here on TGO (A+ transaction by the way) Tricked it out a little to my liking. Have a varmint upper to go with it. Possibly going to get another lower for it so I can have two separate guns. Overall I'm very happy with everything.
  10. I got this If it snows there will be a blasting.
  11. Very Nice. I've looked at a couple of these. Have you had much range time with it yet?
  12. Thats a tough call. Being fired vs going to jail are two different things.
  13. I can't take a picture of a gun without my cat wondering into it. Must be a power thing with them
  14. York's son Andy is the park ranger up at his house in Pall Mall. Good source of info. Or Dr Michael Birdwell at TN Tech in Cookeville. He's the currator of the York Papers and has done more research than anyone out there. He's the expert and would know for sure. I'll try to contact him myself.
  15. Still haven't seen any cool pics of a bunch of dang long hairs yet
  16. We had a no weapons policy at my former job that was in the handbook we had to sign. However there was the understanding between my boss (who had his HCP) and us with permits that we could and should carry daily. It came in handy when fired our shipping manger and he went ballistic. We had to call the police to take him off the property. It made us all breathe easier to know that had he taken it to the next level there were 6 of us in the front office carrying. I don't know about anyone else but I will carry regardless. If it has to be smaller than I'm normally comfortable to prevent it from being discovered I'll do it. No policy is worth my wife loosing her husband.
  17. I got mine in the summer of 2007 and it only took 4 weeks from the time I dropped it in the mail. Then a friend sent his in two weeks after i received mine and it took him 5 month. I say that sometimes there is no rhyme or reason.
  18. Dang those are all things on my wish list. I've always loved the cowboy guns long and short but I never wanted to add another caliber. I've had my eye on one with the 45acp cylinder for awhile.
  19. I've often thought about carrying a 44 SA on the hip and a 44 lever in the saddle. Makes you feel like a Clint Eastwood Bada$$.
  20. LOL thats exactly what my great grandmother would do. Shes 95 and just as firey as that.
  21. Is all that really worth it? Are these rifles that good? (ps if I'm thread crapping I'm sorry. Trying to make sure I don't start doing that.)
  22. What kind of conversion does the Saiga need? Never had my hands on one.

    Intratec Tec9

Anyone had any experience with a Pre-ban Tec9? I'm kinda interested but I don't know much about them or their worth. Here is the ad for the one I'm looking at and a pic "Intratec Tec 9 that is in like new condition. It is a pre ban, open bolt model from the early to mid '80s. I have owned the gun since the mid '80s and have only fired it 2 shots since I've had it. Not 2 clips, not 2 boxes-only 2 shots!!! It comes with a barrell extention, a sling and one (1) 32 round clip. Not cheap, but not your every day Tec 9."
  24. That's fantastic! I'm a huge fan of studying York. I have family members that helped settle the Valley of The Three Forks at the same time as York's ancestors. I also love the museum and have visited many times. Thats a good place for the machine gun to be. York is the Upper Cumberland's greatest hero and the gun belongs near his home.
  25. The Midstate show here in Sparta charges $5. I wouldn't pay a penny more. Beef Jerky guys were there two. I tried some and it was great. Then he told me it was $20 for a 4oz package. I sat it down and walked away.
