  1. Correction. I just found out that his gun was registered prior to his transfer (back in the 60's). May not be much hope for the MP40 then.
  2. It would be considered a C&R gun and not just a regular NFA item so some different rules apply. I have a friend that had the same thing happen except it was an MG34 (no freaking kidding). Not sure what he had to do but it is legally his now.
  3. What a horribly written article. She talks about them having to be concealed in one sentence she say's they'll be retracing Pickett's charge with modern day guns and getting photo ops in front of signs. It contradicts itself three or four times. What a waste of oxygen and bandwith

    Camping

+1 I just spent 4 days up ther in January and we didn't see a soul!
  5. I'm removing the standard front sight from my AR and putting on the Yankee Hill flip up. Anyone know what size punch I need to remove the taper pins?
  6. Thats exactly what I needed. Thanks XD
  7. If I had a specific question before I post something to a thread but wanted to run it by a Mod where do I find out who's the Mod of a particular area? Is there a list?
  8. My favorite quote about if the PETA members were clawing at his door "I would have given them shelter for the night and served them bacon and eggs the next morning"

    Camping

Between those two I would take Frozen Head. I've spent quite a bit of time at both and in colder weather there is more to do there. There's hiking and overlooks and you're not too far from the Obed. There's quite a bit of hiking and scenery. Rock Island is more fun when the weather is warm and you can swim
  10. Sorry to keep posting news stories but I thought this was great. Especially his last statement. FOXNews.com - Iowa Lawmaker Tells PETA Not to Have a Cow Over Raccoon Kill
  11. Hope she's not reading this forum
  12. Ha That's pretty good:)
  13. That's pretty good stuff. You wonder where people find things like that.
  14. U.S. Marine Walks Away From Shot to Helmet - Afghanistan | Map | War - FOXNews.com Pretty cool.
  15. Slinging a little fire eh?
  16. The guy in the red shirt and black jacket does look like he's quite far enough behind the muzzle for my tastes.
  17. Very cool! He's got some decent prices for sure. I don't have a relationship ship with any of the local shops around here. Can anyone suggest a good shop in a 20 or 30 mile radius from Sparta that would do a transfer for me from Summit?
  18. How much for the IWB mag pouch? I've been debating on getting one and I really like the looks of that one?
  19. That made my night!
  20. It's just like having an alarm and forgetting to turn it on. Had some friends out of state whose house was burglarized last spring. They had a really nice alarm system but had been lax in turning it on. They were gone for a few days and the house got robbed. They had no idea until two days after. And they live way out in the country where they thought they were fine. Never assume that's the case.
  21. You could always hide them pretty well. I put a false wall in a closet. if you just looked in the closet you would never know it's there but I have a space thats 24"x36"x36". Highly doubt it would ever be found. My Grandpa used to hide his stuff in false air intake in the wall. His house got robbed many years ago and they didn't get any of his 25+ rifles and handguns.
  22. Pretty good comments on the site after the article. Seems everyone thinks this guy is an idiot
  23. Dude told me his buddy got it. Just thought I'd share.
  24. My uncle has an early Taurus PT92 that he bought new in 1991. He's probably got close to 7 or 8 thousand rounds through it. Never had any problems. On the other hand I had one that was produced in 2002 that I was a piece of . Broken extractor, hammer locked up and wouldn't cock, weak strikes. You never can tell with one. It might be better to get an old beat up one than a shiny one in the box.
  25. That better?
