  1. Plus +1 for me on the TLR-3 also. Super bright and very compact. Tough too. Accidentally dropped mine getting into my car onto concrete and then stepped on it. Not even a scratch and it shines bright as ever. Fits on my PT145 very securely. With the adapters that come with it it's even more secure.
  2. Nice gun and very well done pictures too.
  3. Forget the holster. Where can I buy a sweet moustache like that?
  4. I'm waiting for someone to come out with "They can have my tackle box, when the pry it from my cold dead fingers!"

    Bobcat!

Nothing like watching a bobcat spring out of the air onto the back of a duck . Almost as good as the cougars out west jumping on the backs of condors and going for a ride.
  6. Also check out Kholsters. Very comparable to the Supertuck but for a little less $$$. I've had both and I'm satisfied with either.
  7. I say we need to just give Obama a sheriff star and a cap gun and let him clean out Dodge himself. If he wants to issue excutive orders like that then he needs to personally enforce them.
  8. The majority speaks!
  9. Seldom have it happen to me when I buy but usually when I sell. Some dude will look at, tell me he wants it, and then ask to meet at the end of the week. That day comes and goes. No phone call no email. Thats when I leave them a nasty email telling them how much I love holding something for someone and passing on other deals just to have them flake out. All my dealings on that other site are first come first serve. I'll hold it but on the condition that If someone else pops up with cash it's gone.
  10. A+++ on this book. It should be purchased as soon as you walk out of your CCW class
  11. You have to be careful with anything where you are the third party. You don't know all the details of the situation. The one you shoot could have been the victim defending themselves and you walked in at the wrong time. Could be an undercover officer. You have to decide if you willing to bet you're future on your decision. If its my wife or loved one, you can bet it's worth it. If it's a stranger I'm not so sure. (unless it's an obvious rape). That sounds harsh but me being in prison because I made the wrong choice is not very good for my wife or kids. Or accidentally kill the wrong person or a police officer. That would be tough to live with
  12. Why didn't this happen in my backyard where I could find them Google Translate
  13. That idiot's going to do what he feels like anyway. Look at the Health Care debacle. He knows the people don't want this and he outright said that if the American people don't like it that is what elections are for. He probably already knows he's a one term guy and that makes him a loose canon. We can't count on him trying to save political face.
  14. Nevermind. UT is not a TBR school
  15. UT believes they are exempt from all law except their own(I speak from personal experience) They are huge, have lots of power, and very deep pockets. This would be just the thing for some lawyer to grab hold of a knock them off their high horse. I'm calling my congressman tomorrow. He's on the the financial committee for the boards of regents and has some pull.
  16. If it's not threatening but is intent on coming in to your yard try firecrackers. I keep a handful of M80's near every door and when my neighbors dogs wanders on over I just light one and toss it in his direction. Everytime i do that it's a month or more before I see him again. Scares the out of him. Now if he ever bared his teeth to me there would be no hesitation. I'm a dog lover (see my avatar) but I manage to keep my dog contained 100% of the time when He's not on a leash walking with me. If you can't do the same yet choose to live close to other people you don't deserve a dog. If neighbor dog threatened me no question. If he threatened my wife when I wasn't there and she wasn't carrying the sheriff would be called and that dog would be gone. No if ands or buts.
  17. I built that same rifle as a flintlock about two years ago and it works great. I got it from here. http://www.possibleshop.com/rifle-kit.html. This is not top of the line stuff but i've had no real problems. I would do it again.
  18. Thats taught by Charlie Pardue. He's good people and teaches a good class. I took riflery and skeet with him and my dad had him for skeet back in '78. Very good stuff
  19. That's disturbing, Is that all in New Orleans?
  20. In original state with the mum they can be worth from $250 to $400 depending on the condition. With the forend cut off it would be hard to say.
  21. Check out surplusrifle.com too. They have all they breakdown and cleaning info.
  22. 1+ If every armchair guns right person stood up we could get the changes made.
  23. Yeah you never know. It may have been registered many years ago. I wonder if there is a way to run the serial number and check it?
  24. Yeah I've seen the way they demil those things. Cutting torches across the receiver, plugs welded in. It makes me shudder. It's like thinking about fingernails on a chalkboard
  25. Saddest thing is that it's a piece of history with a family connection. I know the stuff my grandpa brought back is priceless to me.
