As someone who has had to endure excessive noise from a next door neighbor in a rural area where there is no noise ordinance, I sympathize with these people. But when you have no legal recourse, then you either put up with it or move.

Can you point to any posts in this thread where it was said that anyone "would just turn my head and walk away"? Not a single person has said that they would just ignore what was happening, even if they said they would not directly intervene. If it were my daughter or my wife, and someone killed her attacker, yes, I would be grateful. However, not everyone is of like mind.
