Saw a polymer framed Wilson Combat 1911 at one of the last gun shows I attended. Was considering buying it but they wanted too much for it. Rock River Arms also makes a polymer frame 1911. EDIT: I need to add that once the frame goes from steel to plastic, it's really no longer a 1911 IMO.

LOL. It was 100% polyester in 90+ degree heat in the summer with about 80% humidity. I would be wringing wet if I was working a day shift.

I have one of the Wilderness Tactical 3-stitch Ring belts (looks like they have discontinued this model, but the Frequent Flyer's belt is very similar). Very sturdy, fastens with velcro so it's infinitely adjustable. Carries any of my handguns with no problem.
