  1. Rossi. Even though I have no experience with it, I would choose any revolver over a Kel Tec semi-auto.
  2. Also, isn't The Standard on 8th Ave N owned by a TGO member?
  3. Maggiano's on West End Ave The Melting Pot on 2nd Ave North (a little pricey) Amerigo on West End Ave And if you just want a good sub, the Sub Stop on Broadway is terrific!
  4. Absolutely. Pacman Jones lived down the street from me in Franklin and he proved that he was a thug. Shady people going in and out all the time. Glad he's GONE.
  5. Why? I've shot both, and I prefer the M&P. The Glock is a great weapon, but the M&P fits me better and I shoot it better than I do the Glock, and I don't feel bad at all about it. Maybe one day I'll pick up a G19 or a G30, but I'm completely satisfied with what I shoot and carry.
  6. For Pete's sake, it's just an expression.
  7. Who do you buy your paper targets from?
  8. So, there is no one who has successfully made the transition out of the homosexual lifestyle? Or have they been marginalized by the excuse that "they weren't gay to begin with"?
  9. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/05/nyregion/police-stop-and-fatally-shoot-unarmed-driver-on-a-parkway-in-queens.html?_r=4&hp&
  10. Just a few months ago, a spokesman for the city of Chicago was warning tourists to vacation somewhere other than the Windy City because of roving bands of thugs who were seen on The Magnificent Mile, Navy Pier and other popular tourist spots. They were robbing and beating people up at random. He said because of budget cutbacks there weren't as many police officers so the criminal element was taking advantage of the situation. We were thinking of going there for a week but after I read the article we made other plans and went to New England instead.
  11. You've heard it repeatedly for a reason - it's stupid. It's doubtful to me that very many people even use these, which is probably why you don't hear of people with "holes in their butts".
  12. So, then, you only wanted thoughts that make you feel good?
  13. Here we go again.... I wouldn't use one if you gave it to me. I'm not a fan of stuffing anything up the muzzle end of the bore, of carrying without a round in the chamber, or of carrying without something covering the trigger other than my pants.
  14. Carrying with neither a round in the chamber or a holster is not wise.
  15. Ever since I got my last Bullhide Belt (1.5" wide instead of 1.25"), I have been carrying the M&P45c - which is roughly the same size and weight as a G19 - OWB in a K&D Thunderbird Defender covered by just a shirt. No printing and I'm amazed that the belt width has made that much of a difference. I see no need to carry IWB anymore.
  16. I thought all cruisers were outfitted with cameras. I wonder why these either weren't or didn't have the camera on. I'm open to the idea that the guy asked for it, but the OP article was the only one I saw when I started the thread.
  17. A friend who was in the car when Noel Polanco was shot and killed says the police officers who pulled them over did so in an act of road rage... http://www.nbcnewyor...-172630441.html
  18. Wise words indeed. Thanks for sharing them. Hoping you will find peace in the days ahead.
  19. I'm sorry, but the in three years I spent working at Walt Disney World, one of the things that they did not tolerate was being rude to guests. You didn't have to take any abuse, but you certainly were not allowed to be rude or give the impression that you had an attitude. If you did you were gone. Didn't matter what you had going on in your personal life. And, yes, I had to interact with more stupid people on a daily basis than you can imagine, answering the same stupid question about 200 times a day if not more. It didn't matter. That's what I expect from whomever I am dealing with as a customer. My personal problems don't give me immunity from being polite.
