  I had the exact same thought when they first reported it - yeah, sure.

  And also the possibility that the incident won't have any effect on the Second Amendment or the ability to carry for self-protection. That would be the ultimate irony.    I believe that the US government has blood on its hands for restricting the ability of someone in that school to protect those children. Besides the man who pulled the trigger, they bear significant responsibility for creating a situation where those children and teachers were completely vulnerable to the insanity of a madman with a gun.

Gun haters don't like to acknowledge it when a law-abiding citizen protects himself and/or someone else from criminals. It destroys their argument, so they try and sweep it under the rug.   I like the way this was reported.

These are all just symptoms of our failure to teach our children about the value of life.

We are in an era where children are being taught that anything they do is OK and they must not feel bad or guilty about themselves for ANYTHING. Parents side with their children even when they are caught in the act of doing something wrong. Does that mean that the parents don't know right from wrong either? I don't know.   But if parents won't acknowledge wrongdoing on the part of their children, what makes us think that they would voluntarily seek out any help if their child was having psychological issues? For some, there's a stigma about mental problems that many parents aren't willing to deal with. I don't know if that was the case with this man or not.

Ignorance is merely lack of knowledge and can be rectified. There are many things I am ignorant of, but if I took the time and effort to educate myself on those topics, I would no longer be ignorant.   There are many intelligent people who are ignorant about something.

  I'm really surprised at this reaction. I was not aware in the least that I was being a bully or that I was mistreating anyone. If that's the case, why didn't you say something before now, and by PM?

Wow, sounds like many of you have already given up. Do you really think that all the progress we've made in the past few years is going to just disappear because of this?   Let's not let our emotions get the best of us; that's what the gun grabbers are going to do. Let's continue to articulate facts in a calm and rational manner. We must be prepared to counter the propaganda that will surely come from the MSM. Our friends and acquaintances who are on the fence about this are looking to us to provide some factual information. They may not tell us that, but they are.
