I'm always impressed with how articulate Ted is. Regardless of what one may think of him, he is one of the best spokesmen for the Second Amendment that we have right now.   Piers can go suck...... an egg.

I bought a rebuilt '98 Chrysler Town and Country with 12K miles from a friend of mine who made a business out of buying them wrecked and then a mechanic friend put them back together. It wasn't a bad vehicle, but it did have some problems.   I haven't bought a rebuild since.

  Because if they had to actually report the truth about those things, it would be actual unbiased reporting, and we can't have that.

  Gail Kerr of the Tennessean was the head cheerleader for this. I wrote her about a year after the law was passed, asking her where all the reports were of "blood in the streets" and "shootouts in bars". All I got was crickets.

One of the BSA's rules is two-deep leadership, meaning that under no circumstances should an adult be alone with a scout who is not his/her own child. Our troop was very strict about this, but, unfortunately, that's not the case in every unit. That's how molestation occurs.

I posted this article to get some opinions on the matter, knowing that some would agree with this and some would not. It is newsworthy, and as a former scouter who saw his son become an Eagle Scout, I also have reservations about this, but I do understand that money talks, and the BSA has to do something to reverse their declining membership and loss of funding. I knew it was only a matter of time before they considered changing their policy on gays.   What I don't understand is why people want to shut down the discussion by throwing out the homophobia charge. It's really no different than calling someone a racist when there is no evidence.   Why can't someone disagree with this without being called a name?

While they were men, and therefore just as flawed as any other human being, I believe the founders had great wisdom, the likes of which has vanished from the face of the earth. They knew what they were doing when they wrote the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, because they were getting a full dose of government tyranny. In fact, they probably couldn't write fast enough to keep up with the thoughts that were racing through their heads as to what the limitations of government should be.   No, I wouldn't change a thing.

Guess it's safe to assume that is a "gun-free" zone.
