  This is what bothers me - handing my personal property over to someone who may or may not know how to handle it. I have no illusions that just because he wears a badge and a gun that he knows anything at all about firearms, particularly the one I paid good money for.   I believe they should be responsible if they damage my weapon, but we all know that's not reality.

  That's not the point, Dave. I resent being subjected to an invasive search just to board a commercial aircraft. According to my sister, I should have no objections if I "have nothing to hide". After all, according to her, it makes us all safer. But we all know what Mr. Franklin said about safety and liberty.   If you "have nothing to hide", then why not just let the police search your vehicle?   Why are law-abiding citizens treated like potential criminals when there is absolutely NO evidence that they have committed a crime?

This was the last bike I owned way back in 1975 (not my bike in the photo, but exactly like the one I had). I had it all of 6 weeks, just long enough to break it in before I was hit by a drunk driver one night. Totaled the bike, but you should've seen what it did to his car. This is also solves part of the mystery of why the electorate as a whole is so stupid. They listen to people like this and actually believe they know what they're talking about.

I work in downtown Nashville and at times walk to get out of the office and take a breather. While I have been approached by many homeless people, my usual response is "no", while shaking my head and walking around them. None have ever tried to follow me since I'm usually walking at a brisk pace and I guess they don't want to try and keep up. Unfortunately, my employer will not let me carry, so I have to keep my head on a swivel.

If it's illegal, then why didn't they arrest him and charge him with a crime? Those cops are in dire need of some training.   Being a cop takes more than just strapping on a gun and pinning on a badge, but it looks like we have some out there who fit that description, like these two.

The ironic thing is that we have allowed this to happen.
