The intentions may be good on this, but to me it comes off as somewhat elitist. I can't get behind it, sorry.

What we are currently seeing is an all-out assault on our constitutional rights. The nanny state is growing, and it just seems like a matter of time before we become like other socialist countries. Liberty will be a thing of the past; something we will tell our grandchildren about, and something that will never be mentioned in public school history classes.   Obama made it very clear that he intended to implement fundamental change in America. It has become clear exactly what he meant by that and that he and the Democrats are dedicated to doing just that. They hate the Constitution, and they obviously hate the vision of the founders and intend to correct what they see as one big mistake.

I must be the oddball - I shave with a Norelco every day. After the initial adjustment period, I found that I get just as good a shave as I could with the disposables that I had been using. But then, my whiskers aren't very coarse. And I don't ever cut myself.

Well, this is what bothers me - you don't always know who the cops are anymore, or if those who look like cops really are.

To me this is no different than carrying in a restaurant or a church. I'm not carrying because I'm afraid of what will happen inside. I carry to protect myself coming and going. That said.... I am going to see Rush on May 1. I work downtown and have covered, secure parking, so I will leave my gun in the car. Since I am going with two other people, I'm not too worried about the walk to the arena or the walk back.

Praying for your granddaddy this morning on the way to work as well as your grandmother and your whole family.

Only things I have that would qualify are a Vic Alox Classic and a Leatherman Micra, but seeing as how these dirtbags don't bother to follow the rules already in place, I have no faith that they'll follow the new knife rules. I'll keep checking mine with my luggage.

THIS time I watched the entire video and understand the context behind Sen. Harvey's remarks.   Sen Hudak is very typical of the liberal who "cares about people". Couldn't you hear the "caring" tone in her voice? She is such a "caring" person that she thought it appropriate to lecture a rape victim about how a gun is not the answer.   How can you get any more compassionate than that?  :screwy:

I can't believe that REPUBLICAN State Sen Ted Harvey actually said that "what we are trying to do here tonight is protect students and teachers from feeling uncomfortable by you carrying a gun to protect yourself".   I no longer have any patience with idiotic statements like this.

I trained in Wado for four years, went a little beyond first dan, but still run through the basics from time to time. The basic concept of the discipline is to use the other guy's weight and momentum against him. That said, I've never had to use it and hope I never do, just like I hope I never have to draw down on someone.

  I disagree with this 100%. The TSA is completely unnecessary. The only reason terrorists hijack planes is because they know that the passengers have been stripped of their ability to fight back. Change that, and we can get rid of the blue shirts.

If you own a business and you don't want people coming in just to use the restroom, then put up a sign that says "For Patrons Only". Otherwise, I'm using it and don't feel compelled to buy anything.
