I have a couple.

One of the first handguns I ever bought was a P3AT. It was a piece of junk and it failed bigtime at the range one day. I thought "What if that happened when I really needed it?".   I'm aware that any firearm can have problems, but as soon as it came back from the factory and I made sure that it was working, I got rid of it at a gun show. I'll never own another Kel Tec.

What chaps my butt about it is that I don't give a rat's hiney what ANY celebrity has to say about anything. Star power is HIGHLY overrated.

I can especially understand women who are the head of the household or living alone wanting the means to protect themselves, but unless your life is in imminent danger, deadly force is not justified.

In addition to forced compliance, what I object to is her attitude that anyone who values traditional marriage is "hateful" and "ignorant".   Geez, can these people not debate the issue without name-calling and demonizing?

I finally decided on an Ontario 18" Military Machete for the 1095 carbon steel blade and the decent price. My knife addiction being what it is, it probably won't be the only one I'll own.   Fellas, thanks so much for all the suggestions and ideas. I really appreciate all of them.

  THIS, I've battled them little pest since 1984 and I have patched numerous holes in my cedar siding. The super sticky mouse traps that you can get from a  are somewhat effective, but most of the time I let my double barrel .410 do my dirty work.

  One thing I like about Counting Cars in contrast to Fast and Loud is Danny's humanitarian nature, evidenced by his willingness to take a hit to the bottom line when it's for a good cause. He also seems to be a patriot with his deep seated gratitude for our service men and women. Heck, even saw him shooting a semi-auto in one episode when he was trying to buy an old C10 Chevy from an old friend of his.

Indoctrination is what comes to my mind as well. But it's no secret that the statists are going after the minds of our kids, despite their protests to the contrary.   If they can poison the minds of a generation against gun ownership, we will become like Europe, Canada, and Australia as far as gun ownership is concerned.

I've never been made, and I have perfected my carry rig and clothing to the point where printing is minimal if it shows at all, but if someone was observant enough and asked me what was under my shirt, I think I'd just tell them it was a medical device (to protect my physical well-being).   I guess you could call it "preventive medicine".

The week before we left for Philmont Scout Ranch in June 2005, I sat down in a nest of those critters when we were doing our last practice hike here in Williamson County. Had a band around my waist and all up and down my legs as well as the nether regions.   I.WAS.MISERABLE. I don't sit down in the grass ANYWHERE anymore.
