Z was found "not guilty" in a court of law with 6 female jurors. They could find NO EVIDENCE that George Zimmerman murdered Trayvon Martin. It wasn't that the prosecution was inept; rather, it was the fact that they had no case because the evidence pointed to Zimmerman's innocence. What in the HELL makes Eric Holder think that the outcome of a federal trial would be different? What a MORON.

There are entirely too many people who think "justice" = "what I want".

Stupidity, Idiocy and Ignorance knows no bounds..
daddyo replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I find it amusing that some people think "prohibiting the free exercise thereof" somehow means "except in certain places", where as they believe that their Second Amendment rights should be completely unrestricted. I'd call that an inconsistency in logic. The First Amendment guarantees freedom of religion, not freedom from religion. -
That's news to me. Besides, if it really does require two hands to draw, then it might cost you your life if you had to draw in self defense and only had one hand free. On that basis alone, I'd pass on it.

Zimmerman Trial: Verdict Reached!
daddyo replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
??? A jury of his peers in accordance with the law found that he was innocent of all charges. If that doesn't mean he's innocent, I don't know what does. The prosecution failed in their attempt to prove otherwise, because they had no case. You seem to be implying that Martin was the only one who deserved any sort of "justice". Why was Zimmerman not entitled to the same thing? Thankfully, justice is not defined by whether or not someone likes the verdict. -

I was so impressed with the Ontario machete that I bought one of these: Blade length is 9.75", made of 1/4" 1095. 22.4 oz. Kraton handle. The pic is borrowed; I bought mine used. Can't wait to get out in the back yard this weekend and test drive it. Fits the hand well and seems well balanced.

I hope Rahm chokes on it.

Are you referring to Gail "Pass the Biscuits and Gravy" Kerr?

Of course they can do all this.... for now.

Since gay rights supporters are constantly telling us that discrimination is a bad thing, I believe it would only be right for the legislature to pass a law that would make it illegal to discriminate against individuals or groups who hold the belief that homosexuality is deviant behavior. This means that churches and other faith-based organizations would remain free to express their opposition to gay marriage, remain free to refuse to perform gay marriage ceremonies, and free to refuse to hire anyone who did not hold the same views regarding scripture. It also would mean that other employers would not be able to discriminate against prospective or existing employees if they refused to state that they embrace "diversity". Anti-discrimination and fairness should work both ways, right?

I have been using this since the first of the year. Cant recommend it highly enough. It is essentially the envelope budgeting system that has been around a long time but this is a simplified system. VERY easy to learn and use. The only complaint I have is that there have been some synchronization issues and the information on my phone app is not correct. I'm still trying to figure it out. It may have more to do with cloudsync than YNAB.

Murfreesboro DUI Checkpoint Video Making its Way Across the Web

A cop's job is to enforce the law, not make them up on the spot. -
Ah, I see. Using the same logic then, words like "reprobate" and "deviant" would also be "representative terms".

Concealed Carry 45 - Springfield / Bersa / Kahr
daddyo replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Unless you practice disengaging the safety/decocker until it's second nature, I'd go with the XD, Glock, Kahr or an M&P with no manual safety. Get a quality kydex holster with good retention along with a good sturdy belt designed to carry a firearm and you won't have to worry about accidents. I have a Bersa Thunder UC9 and a Commander length 1911 and I don't carry either of them because I haven't dedicated the time to training myself to disengage that safety. And on top of that, your life is worth more than $200. -
When you resort to calling names and accuse people of hatred just for having an opposing viewpoint, then that crosses the line over into personal. Sorry, I don't buy it.
-
Then it's pretty disingenuous of you to suggest that someone hates gay people just because they're gay. Apply the same standard to yourself or don't apply it at all.
-
If hate is all you understand, then you should just go ahead and admit that you hate anyone who disagrees with your perspective on the issue.
-
It has nothing to do with making a difference. It has everything to do with conscience and personal standards. And, frankly, the "consistency police" can shove it.

Yep, I'm truly sorry it has degenerated into this. I'll just keep my racist, bigoted, homophobic rants to myself from now on.
