Let's break the word down, shall we? "Homo", meaning "same" "Phobe", derived from "phobia" meaning "fear". Since I have no fear of gays, then I'm not a "homophobe". What a relief.

You'll notice that I have not claimed that anyone has been banned for expressing their opinion about this. It would be appreciated, however, if the issue could be discussed in the future without accusations of homophobia. I notice that no one here has called Phil a "homophobe", even though he has expressed the same opinion as some of us, and yet we've been labeled as such. Guess Phil gets a level of respect that the rest of us don't. The double standard still exists. Just pointing it out, that's all.

Go back and read some of the threads on this same subject and then tell me that some people haven't been called homophobes and bigots merely for voicing their belief that homosexuality is unnatural and immoral. I haven't seen anyone express hatred towards anyone just for being gay.

They still wouldn't get it. They'd claim that somehow the good guy put their children at risk, and not the shooter.

Am I the only one who sees the glaring hypocrisy in this thread? A fellow TGO member gives his biblical views on homosexuality and is quickly dismissed as a homophobe and a bigot. Phil Robertson does it and all of a sudden many of you who do that very same name calling rush to his defense. I'm in Phil's corner, but many of you should be ashamed. Either we're all homophobes or none of us are. Make up your minds.

Anyone know who in the Nashville/Franklin area would be able to install new foundation vents? The current ones are mortared in place, so it's not as easy as just pulling them out and sliding new ones in.   Also, who would be able to run a new PVC pipe out from a sump pump under the crawlspace to outside ground level? The one that was there got hit by the mower and needs replacing.   Thanks
